11W recruiting outlook - good for UM?
They just posted a recruiting update. Long story short, they are painting about Zach Harrison and Trevor Keegan, thinking they will both Go Blue. I like it!

I will add this....at least their site has given some sort of an update about recruiting after our big recruiting weekend.

Feel free to write one. If it has credible information then I'm sure Brian would be happy to post it for you. Or you could write him a check to have someone follow all of the recruits in town over the weekend and get their immediate reaction at the airport when they're heading home.

If Auburn continues to suck, they will find a way to roll out the dump truck full of cash to pay for Gus to go away and may hire Ryan Day.
I think that’s (not necessarily Auburn) is why Day was named assistant HC.

Being an assistant head coach wouldn't keep anybody from taking 5x the pay at Auburn. It probably wouldn't keep them from taking other FBS head coaching jobs either.
It might keep Day from entertaining a pay raise to be an OC somewhere else. I think it mainly tells recruits and players not to worry, things won't change much if/when Meyer leaves.

I've had my eye on their class ranking for awhile, wondering why it was so low. Hoping it's a result of the Urban scandal.
Can we just have this 1 minor victory please?
Since they aren't going to face any real consequences over the Smith saga, can we atleast have their recruiting take a temporary hit ?

Probably has more to do with the low number of commits, so far. I don't subscribe to the various services, but it seems a fair reach that the higher rated programs have more commits. Don't worry about OSU crootin', though - they'll get plenty of kids to not play skool...

I do believe the Buckeyes are taking a recruitment hit after the Smith Shitshow. Dabo Swinney out there negative recruiting prior to the Smith Saga saying Urban won't be there for much longer and after the head pains a couple weeks ago, I can certainly see Urban getting all his ducks in a row before moving on due to health issues. Furthermore, if Dabo was negatively recruiting, I'd be shocked if other coaches aren't bringing it up at this current time as well.

I've heard that but I don't know the validity to it. Harbaugh mentioned some teams were doing it to him when "Oakland was still in play" in his first or second year? I can't recall when he said it.

I really want OSU to be good. If Michigan is running at 95%, I want OSU at 92%. Good, but not quite good enough. That's the point where it eats at you and drives you crazy. You're so close yet you can't quite get there no matter how hard you try. I want OSU to enjoy success just enough that they always fall JUST short of Michigan and it torments them daily.
....Then I can lurk on 11W and read their frustration and disappointment and go about my life happily.
