Same Old Lions vs. BradyPats

Submitted by freelion on

Lions don't want to screw up their prime draft position tonight. They will put up a valiant effort but likely fade in the 2nd half.

Patricia appears to be a horrible game coach. Going for the FG when you had a great drive going and only needed 6 inches for a first down is questionable at best.

Right here. Present and accounted for. I still don't think the Lions are all that good. You all spent the last two weeks absolutely trashing Matt Patricia, saying he was in over his head and never should've been hired. Hey, I would have too after that debacle of a home opener.

Credit where credit is due for beating the Patriots, but can the Lions build on this and keep the momentum going for 13 more games in a brutal NFC North? Survey says......nope. I've seen enough out of this franchise over the years to know that they'll screw it all up somehow. As sure as the sun will rise in the east and set in the west. That will be my assertion until I actually see them prove me wrong.

Brady doesn't seem to have the fire anymore.  I know his team sucks, but they have had rough patches before and I don't remember him looking like this.  Maybe that will change when Edelman and Gordon are available.  I'd hate to see him go out after a rough year or two.

The Lions did look good but if there’s one team that Patricia should be prepared to play and be able to scheme against, it’s the Patriots 8 months removed from coaching there. It would be nice to see the Lions keep this going but also keep in mind the Patriots’ defense has been terrible so far this season.

I'll give Patricia credit for righting the ship, temporarily, but let's be honest: that was not a vintage Patriots team by any stretch.

I think we'll have a better feel for the Loins after Dallas. I really don't like their chances of stopping Elliott.
