Late afternoon/evening games Open Thread
Couple of afternoon games are still finishing up and then two of our rivals play what should be interesting games this evening. In Knoxville, Tennessee has just tied Georgia 24-24 in the 4th. And Okie St. just jumped back in front of Kansas St by 1 late in the game.

Some interesting games going on that aren't being talked about.
LSU only up 5 on MSU with the Bulldogs driving right now.
Ole Miss still down by 11 to Auburn. Not a good day to be a ranked SEC team.
TCU has closed to within 3 of Oklahoma in Norman.

Baylor goes 77 yards on 4 plays. Now at 558 with 4:02 left in the second.

It really sucks that an OSU win helps us. Because I can't root for them. After tonight, they're not going to break a sweat until they come to Ann Arbor.

Even GERG would shake his head at this defensive performance.

They will score some points against UM, but Gardner should have a huge game. I think a 42-24 type game.

A little. They're very inconsistent. Navy blasted them. Missouri blasted them. Indiana State scored 35 on them. But their offense was impressive today.
I never thought I'd say this but I'm glad we have Indiana at home.

Up 49-14 they call a time out to save time so they can score again. Pathetic.

I disagree whole heartedly. No such thing as running up the score in the first half. Whatever is possible for you to do in a half is possible for them to do in the second half.

Didn't they lose to WVU 70-63 last year? You can see why they might worry that a five TD lead isn't enough.

It's the second quarter... How early are you supposed to put in the third stringers and run up the middle every play?

West Virginia's defense is pretty awesome.

Oregon averages 599 yards and 60 points per game.
Baylor just put up 597617 yards and 56 points in a half.
Well, there's still a minute left. Who knows, they might get the ball again.

I think Baylor is the best team in the Big 12. Amazing how good they've gotten in the last few years after being a joke for decades. It'd be like watching Indiana drop 60+ each week, which... hey, maybe in another year or two.

IU pulls low level talent from the Midwest. Baylor also had some success under Grant Teaff. IU did okay under Bill Mallory, but still was not a power.

Northwestern's offensive line is much better than ours, and it shouldn't be.

"Younger inexperienced lineman can "look" better in that style of offense."
We had that sort of offense the first 2 years at UM and the OL did not look good at all against top end defenses. 2011 was better than 2012 of course with Molk but I'd argue if it was just a system the coaches should morph to a system that can work esp knowing our OL wont mature until 2015. 2014 is going to be as young or younger than 2013 and they knew that in 2011.

NU needs to convert some of these opportunities into TDs if it wants to win this.

So many 3 pts rather than 7 pts this game for NW

NBC announcers trying to argue that a catch is complete even though the receiver had half a foot out of bounds and juggled the ball at least four times upon hitting the ground out of bounds. Never change, guys.

What an atrocious call on Vanhoose. That's just terrible.
