Saturday drinking thread
just exactly does wolf you-know-what taste like?
You must have surely tasted wolf's pussy. Lemme know what it tastes like.
I have my daughter's dance recital this afternoon, followed by a dinner of her choosing. That basically means we'll end up at either Applebee's or Cracker Barrell, but today, she is the star. Later on this evening, I will probably catch up on MGoBlog and drink the Goose Island 312 in the fridge.
Tomorrow, something about weeding and finally changing out the lighting fixtures in the kitchen. There's a list that Mrs. LSA wrote somewhere that I admittedly only skimmed.
Since the AB-Inbev purchase, 312 is now brewed in an AB plant in Balwinsville, NY, so that's a 315, not a 312 . . .
I'm still an avid lurker, no worries. I've been busy lately and my posts come in spurts due to a 24 hours on / 24 hours off work schedule.
Just woke up naked. Dont know why
Hey guys. Cool site.
Mentally preparing myself for Hatterdays.
Should be fun.
What are Hatterdays?
while drinking. i think charlton heston almost did that in soylent green...
Going to move on to some Sierra Nevada Torpedos later.
Oh yeah. GI Summertime. Meh...Not a Wheat Beer fan.
Much will be consumed later today. Right now drinking water and eating chicken salad, watching the first season of Arrested Development.
Gotta love 21st birthdays. Lots of fun, even more alcohol. A quick recomendation: stay soberish (or at least don't get really drunk), in case your GF drinks too much. That's mostly from the experience that I had this last year with my gf (and all my friends) turning 21—every got way too drunk \on their birthday, and almost every birthday boy/girl got sick.
Last call in Cincinnati is 2:00AM, so I think I'll just have a beer or two before hitting the bar and playing it by ear from there, doubt I'll way overdo it in two hours if I don't pregame.
I'll bet there are some crazy stories on here from 21st (or 18th if you go back far enough) birthdays. Hopefully tonight is just as wild.
Where are you going? Mt. Adams is probably the best for 21st birthday type festivities. At least it was when I lived there.
Tonight with the limited timeframe we're just going to stay in Clifton, since pretty much everyone we're going out with is a student at UC. Tomorrow is some German restaurant in Mt. Adams and then some kind of nicer bar/club afterwards.
That's cool. I lived in Clifton once upon a time (Riddle Rd, right off of MLK and Clifton Ave). The bars in that Corryville area are the ones in Clifton we used to hit up. And that Skyline at Clifton and Ludlow got a lot of my money - I think I went there three times in one day more than once.
We're meeting up with another friend of hers at her apartment at Probasco and Clifton Ave, and the girlfriend's dad works within a block of there (he's in the EE-CS department at UC). I don't know if that's the area we're going to, as I can't keep up with their plans, but I'll keep that in mind if we do.
at the corner of South U and Washtenaw. It was a blow out.
Coffee. We put an offer on a house last night (because my wife loves it) so I spent the whole night telling myself we can't afford it and then trying to convice myself I'm wrong. It's a vicious cycle, and one that results in little sleep. I'm the one who likes to buy the cheapest of everything, and my wife likes having the best, so of course we need to compromise. Unfortunately, some of those compromises (especially this big ones like this) give me some hefty anxiety.
Thanks for letting me vent.
I've been through that a few times. These west coast housing markets really take all the fun out of buying a home, but I hope it all works out for you.
