Saturday drinking thread
It's hockey beer for hockey season
So that I can feel like I earned my trip to Rib Fest (IrvingPark and Damen in Chicago for those in the city) later today, followed by a sit down in the Half Acre taproom with some Akari Shogun American Wheat
Check out Murphy's Irish ribs. They were by far the best I had yesterday!
It tastes like wolf pussy
just exactly does wolf you-know-what taste like?
Am also interested in how you know what wolf pussy tastes like.
You must have surely tasted wolf's pussy. Lemme know what it tastes like.
I have my daughter's dance recital this afternoon, followed by a dinner of her choosing. That basically means we'll end up at either Applebee's or Cracker Barrell, but today, she is the star. Later on this evening, I will probably catch up on MGoBlog and drink the Goose Island 312 in the fridge.
Tomorrow, something about weeding and finally changing out the lighting fixtures in the kitchen. There's a list that Mrs. LSA wrote somewhere that I admittedly only skimmed.
Since the AB-Inbev purchase, 312 is now brewed in an AB plant in Balwinsville, NY, so that's a 315, not a 312 . . .
Whilst weeding!
First full weekend off work in a while. After I get some laundry done (dammit), I'll be relaxing and putting back some Hoegaarden.
Haven't seen you in awhile. Good to hear you are still around
I'm still an avid lurker, no worries. I've been busy lately and my posts come in spurts due to a 24 hours on / 24 hours off work schedule.
Just woke up naked. Dont know why
Because it's morning. That's why most people wake up.
Then off to the farmers' market with the family.
I want to buy a Vita Mix blender and go to the Farmers market and just load up on veggies and fruit. Make myself some smoothies loaded up with all my veggies and fruits for the day. Need to improve my diet and its too hard to eat all those veggies raw.
Have a massage at 1 then gonna do some light lifting and then play some basketball. Probably should have scheduled massage for after all that. Oh well
Hey guys. Cool site.
Mentally preparing myself for Hatterdays.
Should be fun.
What are Hatterdays?
Saturdays with hats?
Coffee for now, but I have a 90 Minute ipa and a Lagunitas Hop Stoopid waiting for me for later today.

while drinking. i think charlton heston almost did that in soylent green...
So...I started off with Goose Island's Summertime. (Not an Alcoholic if the morning feels like night. Repeat X3)
Going to move on to some Sierra Nevada Torpedos later.
Oh yeah. GI Summertime. Meh...Not a Wheat Beer fan.
Much will be consumed later today. Right now drinking water and eating chicken salad, watching the first season of Arrested Development.
Gotta love 21st birthdays. Lots of fun, even more alcohol. A quick recomendation: stay soberish (or at least don't get really drunk), in case your GF drinks too much. That's mostly from the experience that I had this last year with my gf (and all my friends) turning 21—every got way too drunk \on their birthday, and almost every birthday boy/girl got sick.
Last call in Cincinnati is 2:00AM, so I think I'll just have a beer or two before hitting the bar and playing it by ear from there, doubt I'll way overdo it in two hours if I don't pregame.
I'll bet there are some crazy stories on here from 21st (or 18th if you go back far enough) birthdays. Hopefully tonight is just as wild.
Where are you going? Mt. Adams is probably the best for 21st birthday type festivities. At least it was when I lived there.
Tonight with the limited timeframe we're just going to stay in Clifton, since pretty much everyone we're going out with is a student at UC. Tomorrow is some German restaurant in Mt. Adams and then some kind of nicer bar/club afterwards.
That's cool. I lived in Clifton once upon a time (Riddle Rd, right off of MLK and Clifton Ave). The bars in that Corryville area are the ones in Clifton we used to hit up. And that Skyline at Clifton and Ludlow got a lot of my money - I think I went there three times in one day more than once.
We're meeting up with another friend of hers at her apartment at Probasco and Clifton Ave, and the girlfriend's dad works within a block of there (he's in the EE-CS department at UC). I don't know if that's the area we're going to, as I can't keep up with their plans, but I'll keep that in mind if we do.
at the corner of South U and Washtenaw. It was a blow out.
Mint julep while watching the U21 Euro Championship. Norway up 2-0 but waiting for my young Azzurri playing later
Drinking bud light and about to shoot me some woodchucks in my back field.
No drinking yet, doing some paperwork and watching qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix.
With the fiancé and another couple from the office. Whatever i run into for sale (IC Light most likely) will be consumed.
Bitches
Call me beetch.
I may have to break out my stash. Oberon is not available in TN
Gatorade. Went for a run, mowed the lawn, applied some herbicide, now sitting down to rest.
How's bragging camp?
We just moved to a new city and the older guy next door just brought me a Summer Shandy and introduced himself while I was doing yard work. I'm gonna like this place!
Modelo Especial, with my dogs, on the deck in Chicago. Nice little Saturday we're having.
Coffee. We put an offer on a house last night (because my wife loves it) so I spent the whole night telling myself we can't afford it and then trying to convice myself I'm wrong. It's a vicious cycle, and one that results in little sleep. I'm the one who likes to buy the cheapest of everything, and my wife likes having the best, so of course we need to compromise. Unfortunately, some of those compromises (especially this big ones like this) give me some hefty anxiety.
Thanks for letting me vent.
I've been through that a few times. These west coast housing markets really take all the fun out of buying a home, but I hope it all works out for you.
