I think I missed a couple, since I get 81 scholarships (ex-2014), but interesting data nonetheless. I wanted to go back and do this since I thought it brought a little more detail to the old classes that used to be on the star system without the 247 Composite method.
Keep in mind about there are about 1,100 - 1,400 football scholarships per year in the Big 5 conferences + ND.
Pretty fricken cool, thanks for putting this together.
Jake Ryan, Desmond Morgan, Tom Gordon, Courtney Avery, (and Jordan Kovacs), all ranked 600+ in their classes. 5 of of 8 starters in the back 7 (nickel).
Major overachievers as a group.
Great way to show the trend in the uptick of the quality of the classes over time as well as by position.
Excellent job. Thanks for compiling all this. Really makes you excited for the next few years, especially considering the most recent couple of classes.
9 of our 14 top 100 players have not yet made it to campus (2013-14 recruits). 5 are from the 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 classes combined.
And we are likely to pick up at least 1-2 more top 100 players in this class.
Wow.
uh huh. and the part that makes me the most giddy is the momentum. we should have a good year this year leading to a solid recruiting class next year. next year we should be really solid (with a ridiculous defense), leading to even better recruits. the program is positioned well man. hoke and crew honestly don't get paid enough.
Kinda puts his commitment in perspective
Rather interesting info. Thanks Man
Once again folks, the Heininger Certainty Principle. So glad we haz Hoke and Mattison.
Our needs are getting fewer and fewer. Time for the young birds to fly!
One of those things is not like the other: WR. Thank god for Drake Harris.
One thing that stands out, if you resort the table, is that 33 of the players in this table are in the top 10 at their position, and in a table with 94 names, that's truly significant. Indeed, 18 of those 33 play somewhere on the offense. A further 18 players are anywhere from 11th to 20th at their position group per this table. When someone commented the other day that something special was potentially coming together at Michigan, they were certainly not kidding.
Thanks for sharing this table, Asgardian.
Damn, I'd love to see the ranks between COMP247 top 25 and the top 25 polls...
/somebody do some work

as does the overall trend upwards.
Future's so bright, I gotta wear shades.
I like the spread of the 250 and 100 kids among position groups too. Getting Drake Harris especially helps the one position that seemed a little thin on the composite players and we are in on a couple of other highly rated WR
#1 Punter is still only 754 overall.
Sad face for punters everywhere...
Quick look shows only Ryan, Fitz and Gallon that came from outside top 250 to be true stars. Recruiting rankings aren't everything, but you can't have a team full of stars without highly ranked recruits.
The glory of basketball season has left and I'm back to being wrapped up with football. I can't wait for fall practice to begin.
I'm hoping Devin, Darboh, Fitz, Clark, Countess, Morgan, Gordon all take big steps up. I'm hoping Gallon and Dileo remain consistent. Hoping Green and Taco climb up the depth charts quickly. I want Norfleet and Funchess to flash greatness. I want defense to become shut down.
I'd like to curb stomp Central Michigan and begin Team 134 journey to the B1G Championship Game.
Go BLUE!
Does Devin Gardner hold the record for throwing and catching touchdowns in the same seaon?
