that was some of the prettiest and grimiest basketball i've seen played in the college season. the other team lucked out, but we will learn from this game for next year. jmo is by far the hero of this outfit. he truly manned up and outperformed all expectations. stauskas is the star who will get even better. gr3 and caris are both excellent athletes who will light it up. and derrick and zak are future all americans with no fear and a sweet touch. spike and jon will love to step it up even more next season.
can't take anything away from either team. everyone played out of their minds. back and forth back and forth the game was decided by an inch - go blue and hail to the victors even in defeat.
But I dont know what could be the harm with him promoting himself and Michigan at the same time. He is one of the noteworthy Alums with a constant microphone to voice his intelligent opinions and a huge audience. While Beilein and Co. are churning out wins and NBA players, Jalen Rose can keep the spotlight on Michigan burning bright.
Was worse than the high of beating any team en route to the Finals. But the journey to the championship game was worth it.
With football, I'm used to losing a few games a year. As long as we take care of business and beat state, notre dame, and the buckeyes I'm generally pretty content. That hasnt happened in a long time.
Hoke is the best coach as far as I'm concerned.
He turned around a program that was sinking and brought back the base. He used the players he had to bring back the wins. And he got national attention for getting some splashy recruit. Has he had the best record ? No. But the wins will come. And I am confident that the program will be run the right way.
Look at les miles. We wanted him so much. But now that the Oklahoma State story broke, I feel like we dodged a bullet.
For me, having a prestigious program is more important than winning. Coaches who win at all cost end up falling in disgrace. Look at sweater vest and paterno.
Yes the school and the fanbase will judge Hoke on wins and losses. But sometimes how you win matters too. Our recruits are studs and awesome people. Our coaches are intelligent and of good character. And the Michigan brand is riding high.
Is there any other coach I would want? Nope.
I even thought rich rod would come around. But I didn't know Brady Hoke as a man. He has brought Michigan football back in a big way. Better than Lloyd. He has inspired the fanbase to buy in. He has convinced recruits to sign on to the team the team the team. He has brought expectations back in line to where they need to be.
Brady Hoke is the best coach in college football as far as I'm concerned.
Gerg's last job was at Michigan and he was really bad at coordinating the defense. He was quite good at providing soft coverage and giving up lots of yards and points.
Played for the bulldogs. In his tweener year he put up some interesting numbers.
Pass: 872 yd. but only 2 td. Rush: 248 yd. 2 td. Receptions: 249 yd. but 0 td.
Cain Colter played a lot at QB and in the wild cat. In 2012, in his most prolific year he:
Pass: 8 td. 872 yd. Run: 12 td. 894 yd. Catch: 3 td. 169 yd.
Tannehill played receiver his first two years with decent production. In 2011, in his tweener year where he started as a receiver and switched to QB where he:
Pass: 11 td. 1638 yd. Run: 1 td. 76 yd. Catch: 1 td. 143 yd.
Devin Gardner sat the bench behind Tate and Denard his first two years. In 2012, In his tweener year he:
Pass: 11 td. 1219 yd. Run: 7 101 yd. Catch: 4 td. 270 yd.
I think Gardner had one of the best single seasons at both receiver/quarterback production.
Devin and Gallon will get the headlines but it was a great all around effort interspersed with some bone headed mistakes - Still relieved to come out with a decisive win. Love to see Devin's moxxy on the field - He pointed out a few blocks and throws to get the ball where it needed to be for some key first downs. And our players blocked their butts off. I saw everyone on offense put up a huge block at some point in the game. credit goes to al borges for sticking with the run even when it wasn't there for long stretches.
I think his week 1 performance has elevated his stock to the point where ppl expect him to have a great game. It didn't seem like the Irish have a great running back option so he is going to have to beat our defense himself. I'm hoping our corners and safeties can handle man coverage so our rushers can put a hurtin on the qb.
Fitz, Green, and Smith could form a nice combination of solid backs heading into the meat of our schedule. As long as we can take care of business against the Irish, our OL and RB situation can vastly improve. I can see Fitz and Green having 750 + yards. They all showed some power on a few plays And it was reassuring that Smith could come in for relief as Green looked like he benefited from the rest With anyone of them on the field, opponents will have to respect the run opening up the pass.
Gallon and Gardner will connect on some big plays, but I would like to see some quick hits to Dileo to move the chains rather than going for the homerun all the time.
Also, I would like to see Pressure, Pressure, Pressure on the QB. Our depth on the front seven is a huge luxury so I want to see Mattison dial up exotic blitzes coming from all over. If Frank Clarke can't be the guy, I would like to see line backers and tackles breaking to the line.
AND IM LOOKING FOR A W. Dont care about the score or how we get it.

great video but i left watching it missing Gallon so much. his clutch plays and steady leadership makes him one of my favorites of all time.
Desperate Heave is strong but the point is should we have banked scholarships or gave em all out late in the signing period.
the rest of the field fights for 10-8 (6 teams in the hunt)

The game will have a huge impact on future recruiting - It should be a dandy - The matchup could be scintillating
The kid is good

Saw him out for a few series and then come back in.
# 2 Goes to a Kalis smash
He is cash $$ in the red zone.

Is there a video of it out?
Lets just play football and win.

His reasoning for why ND didnt play Michigan in the 40's has so little relevance to why Michigan doesnt play now.
Reece is Great but Jesse almost makes the game unwatchable. He's a wannabe Herbstreit gasbag.
HATE THE DRAKE (ACL TEAR).
Beilein is losing players - I wonder if the perception that he is a system coach is deterring a lot of these recrutis.
