While that picture is great, I would not want it. Now if he actually won the Heisman, then hell yeah I want that picture as the cover art.
March 12th, 2013 at 11:10 AM ^
Are you SURE this is the cover? Where did you find the image, if I may ask? I know the photographer. Before I say anything, I want to make sure that's not just a mock-up, but the actual product image.
Thanks

Not sure if this is the cover, but it was posted on EA Sports' NCAA Football Facebook page during the contest that said "You could make this a reality" as the caption. The image has since been removed (as far as I can tell, didn't do an exhaustive search) from their Facebook page, I happend to share the image on mine and retireved it from there.

Great recruiting tool.
I'm ready to commit to Michigan on the spot.
March 12th, 2013 at 10:04 AM ^
He is certainly better that Ryan Swope. I had to google Swope to even figure out who he was and I'm a pretty big football fan.
March 12th, 2013 at 10:13 AM ^
...as almost everyone else did, too.

I buy and play video games and I can't figure out what it is.

Howard was 06

You answered before I could. I saw the tweet literally one minute after it was posted, read the article about it, and noticed that error right away. I tweeted to EA that they need to fix it, but don't know if they saw my correction.

About freaking time, EA Sports...

Thanks. But I feel like I am more lost now. I guess TAMU thinks they invented giving someone a thumbs up?
I used to live in Texas. Between the TTech "Guns Up!" salute, the U of T "Hook 'Em Horns!", TAMU's "Gig 'em!", TCU's Horned Frog hand sign (which I think is what you do when you raise you outer knuckles while making a fist) and god knows what Baylor does for a hand signlal, I always thought that Texans had their own set of gang signs. It's like the Crips and Bloods, but more annoying.
I never learned how SMU does a hand sign for allegedly killing five hookers. Must be complicated.
I think it's just a simple stabbing motion.
I thought it was hands around the throat and a backhanded slapping motion.

Remember, a lot of people turn into huge hard asses behind a keyboard. I'm willing to bet a lot of those people wouldn't do that face to face.

I'M BUYING COPIES FOR MY ALL OHIO FRIENDS!!!!!! FUCK THE SEC!!!!
March 12th, 2013 at 10:48 AM ^
Congrats to Denard! I already have the 99 and 06 game so this will be a welcomed addition.
March 12th, 2013 at 11:01 AM ^
They're the only editions I've kept.
I hope he gets some coin for this. The kid deserves every good thing that comes his way.
March 12th, 2013 at 12:37 PM ^
I will be co-oping in Columbus when I buy it. Better believe I will be wearing my Denard jersey when I go buy it at the GameStop right in the middle of OSU's campus. Trolling the Buckeyes at its best!
March 12th, 2013 at 12:45 PM ^
this might even increase sales of Michigan jerseys in Ohio...
Is going to have to rip off another cover of a video game.
March 12th, 2013 at 10:10 AM ^
Denard after getting on the NCAA football cover... via his twitter.
"It's my goal to make somebody's day every day, but today the Michigan fan base and family made my day. It's a blessing. Thank you all! Love!"
Michigan Man.

As someone who was mildly freaking out about the voting at the end...
...I'm sitting here dumbfounded as to the idea that I though Ryan Swope could actually be put on NCAA Football 2014. Over Denard Robinson.
So silly.

I saw the EA Sports links with the recap of each round, but does anyone know the actual vote count? I'm curious how close it was after all the illegitimate votes (on both sides) were discarded.
Any idea where to find that info...or if it's even been released?

March 12th, 2013 at 11:22 AM ^
Per Meinke's piece on the subject (LINK)
"The video game maker did not release the final tally, but did say more than 250,000 votes were cast, and that Robinson received more than half."
Not exceedingly informative, but at least EA Sports had a canned answer for a question that they knew would be asked. They were not very explicit about the process in the official press release either.
In any case, however, they could not have chosen a better face to represent college football. Congratulations to Denard!
March 12th, 2013 at 11:47 AM ^
I appreciate the info/link. I saw that too. I was just hoping that someone in the community might be plugged in enough to have the scoop.
"more than 250,000 votes were cast, and that Robinson received more than half."
Thanks, EA Sports. I think that's the definition of winning a vote (with two entrants).
Anyone know if the cover shot Soulfire21 posted is the ACTUAL cover or just a proposal? If it's THE shot, I may go buy a copy of it and have Denard sign it before he's gone.
Thanks again

We have done it ladies and gentleman. We have managed to defeat the undefeatable...the Texas A&M Aggies are the kings of internet polls no more.
