OT: Friday Night Drinking Thread

Stone IPA and Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye, which may be my new favorite SN beer.
Super pumped for the game tomorrow night, probably the most excited I have been for a U of M bball game in my 22 years of life. What are people doing for the game tomorrow?

Got two twelve packs of Shocktop (past) seasonal half off, so hopefully that was worth the fifteen bucks. We shall see.

Twelve of that and twelve of whatever the Pumpkin one is.

and Dogfish head Palo Santo Marron (never tried this before).

Wow, two of my favorite beers, lucky. The Palo Santo is on my top 5 list, its my go to celebration-of-a-big-event-in-my-life beer. And Hercules is one of my favorite imperial IPAs alongside Ruination and Double Jack

Gotta let the Palo Santo warm a bit. The hercules is decent.

Hamms>Bud light, coors light, busch light etc. If I am going cheap I am going Hamms or Genesee
February 1st, 2013 at 9:32 PM ^
+1 for Hamms. Cheap and not as bad as Natty. Always the classy move.
Also a recommendation for more cheap beer, go to a Trader Joe's if there's one near you (there's one off of Stadium in Ann Arbor, if you're at Michigan), and pick up some "Simpler Times". It's like $4 for a 6-pack, and it actually tastes halfway decent. And at 6.2% ABV you get a little drunker quicker.

200 Proof?
February 1st, 2013 at 9:27 PM ^
300 proof. He's going so hard tonight that...well...fuck chemistry.
February 1st, 2013 at 9:53 PM ^
They spike the 200 proof with benzene and other random stuff. Totally ruins the taste.
February 1st, 2013 at 10:53 PM ^
And makes it toxic.

Burnett's with a chase of Hamm's Special Light

That sounds bad....

Lots of Hamms being drunk today.

I've only tried Big Sky Moose Drool, and that was a pretty good beer. How's the IPA?
February 1st, 2013 at 9:36 PM ^
pretty much everything by Big Sky is delicious
February 1st, 2013 at 10:26 PM ^
I would classify it as very solid. Its nothing to write home about, but I would never turn one down. Its a good, simple, nothing fancy IPA
February 2nd, 2013 at 1:26 PM ^
Anyway, the bottled IPA doesn't match the complexity and hoppiness of the draft, IMO. Absolutely drinkable, though!
