One Frame At A Time: Nebraska
Within seconds of Glenn Robinson III's tip-slam on Wednesday night, @pnbloem (BlockM around these parts) recognized some serious gif potential:
@aceanbender Gif that last clip of the dunk from the baseline + sunglasses + "Deal with it."

I'm here to serve:
[For the rest of the Nebraska game in gifs, with a heavy emphasis on Mitch McGary and the NCAA's foremost attention-starved refs, hit THE JUMP.]
As always, click the still to open the animated gif in a lightbox.
In a sign of the times, the above wasn't even Robinson's most impressive dunk, because this is just effortless elevation:
And now begins the Big Puppy Show. McGary blocks, forcefully enough to knock the shooter to the floor:
McGary has a tender moment with TV Ted Valentine:
McGary enters the fray with aplomb, emerges with favorite chew toy...
...then celebrates by trying to fly away/pumping up the crowd:

Ed Hightower does Ed Hightower things; Nik Stauskas reacts with the requisite disgust:
Speaking of Stauskas, your latest edition of "Three-Point Specialist":
Finally, Taylor Lewan shows off his, er, unique conducting technique:

I want to have the audio on that band directing. It seems a bit fast.

look foward to these posts after every game...it also helps this team provides so many giffable moments

Lewan directing the band may be one of the most glorious things I have ever witnessed.

I liked these better when they all loaded at once. Great work though.

It might've been the loudest I've heard it in Crisler all season so far after McGary got that loose ball and fired up the crowd.
January 11th, 2013 at 3:57 PM ^
The Stauskas "Oh gimmie a break" face is my favorite.
January 11th, 2013 at 4:15 PM ^
McGary absolutely laid that Nebraska guy out going for that loose ball. I giggled.
January 11th, 2013 at 4:31 PM ^
Seriously. I'm not sure I've ever seen a 5-man jump ball where 4 of them are on one team, and then the fifth is the guy who comes up with the ball.
Am I the only one who wants to see McGary at defensive end? He could be a terror.
January 11th, 2013 at 4:53 PM ^
No you're not the only one. Maybe he can at least come out for the spring game and show off his skills.
January 11th, 2013 at 6:38 PM ^
You may not be the only one but rest assured coach B is not in your camp. Pretty sure he'd oppose sharing his 6'10" renewable energy source.

great GREAT gifs this week from an otherwise somewhat ugly game.
Lewan conducting is one of my all-time favorites and will become "celebration" gif posting material for me.
GRIII's second dunk is, remarkably, even better than his first. He actually jumped *too* far. he could have started at least a couple feet back.
McGary playing DE while going for the loose ball, and hyping up the crowd.
Stauskas with the behind-the-back double crossover. Nasty!
This .gif series has become my favorite addition to the board as well.

Keep up the good work Ace

The GRIII flush is easily the best one I've seen all year. When he threw that down, I was like, "whoa".

Ace is the new lsufreek except no LSU and less freekiness.
