Shit I thought he missed it the way that ball was kicked.
minnesota fans hate texas tech.

This is what they do, I mean....it's practically tradition.

Wow. Minny handed them the game. Can't wait to hear "The B1G is outclassed every year in the bowls" for another 365 days. Michigan State better win tomorrow.

Fuck MSU. Go TCU.

there'll be some sad thick-ankled women in East Dakota tonight.

After watching this game, I think it's safe to say that Texas Tech has a problem with ethics. That punch was ridiculous, as was the celebration, as was Mike Leach.

Minnesota gonna Minnesote out there. That's why YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME, not play to not lose it.
December 29th, 2012 at 1:03 AM ^
Well actually, I think Minnesota played to win a little too much.

Hold on. The Big Ten has played one bowl game and exceeded everyone's expectations in it (though it ended in a heartbreaking loss). Let's wait to see what happens the rest of the way.

I think Michigan gets the win!

something very important, B1G Teams usually have to play these bowl games against schools from the state they're playing or very close to it, this matters.
I don't care what analysts say, Minny was kinda impressive tonight and looked like the better team to me. Bowl games happen 4-5 weeks after season ends, just ruins the rythym and I hate it anymore really.
2014 can't come soon enough.

1st off, I think we can have a special season in 2013 if our O-Line plays up to potential despite being young.
in 2014, we'll have better top flight match-ups with the top four teams and then the other bowls will be allowed to be more selective for their games instead of having to take an average Big East Team or an NIU for example.
December 29th, 2012 at 1:37 AM ^
That's why, on 4th and 4 on the opponent's 40, with 3:30 to go and up 7, you go for it.

The 8th best team in the Big 10 lost to a team that was ranked in the top 10 in October. Minnesota got smoked by everyone in the Big 10 besides Illinois...
As easy as it is to say "BIG TEHNN", think about this:
This was an away game.
Minnesota had a freshman quarterback
Minnesota was supposed to lose handily (example picks were 45-17, etc.)
Minnesota is one of the worst teams in the Big 10
If Ohio and Penn State were eligible, Minnesota would be playing (and beating) Central Mich.
Texas Tech had the #1 passing offense in the country prior to tonight.
Minnesota was the 2nd highest underdog behind Purdue.
This close of a game wasn't supposed to happen, and yet it did, with Minnesota looking like the better team through *most* of the game. (definitely not the last 5 minutes).

There's a reason you didn't play up Texas Tech in your justification, and that would be because they sucked it up pretty hard too. They needed overtime against Kansas to not finish the season 0 for their last 5. Their claim to fame is that beat an inflated WVU team.
Did anyone mention this team had no head coach? Oops.

You would kind of have a point if Minnesota actually won the game, but they didn't. They lost to a team that rode the West Virginia facade to the top 25 (which is not a solid argument in favor of Texas Tech) and then proceeded to get shallacked in the Big 12. Did I mention that this team also had no head coach?
The Big Ten may not be the worst conference, but they sure do a goob job of losing to everyone. The Big Ten has to actually win if you want that sentiment to die.

Heartbreaking loss for Minny, I was really hoping they would win and get the bowl season started off right for the big 10. I thought one of the big series that could have won them the game aside from punting with the 4th and 3 was when they put Marquis Gray in there for a series near the end of the game and had him throw it twice, both very overthrown balls
