Don't argue. Just don't. Just embrace the awesome. Timmy needs to get in touch with Alan Branch.

He should have spiked the ball at his nads.

Nads. Wow. Totally forgot about that word. Don't worry I'm not calling you old for that lol. It probably means we're around the same age. Or does that mean I'm old too...

Haydar (Arkansas player) tried to draw a charge at midcourt during Arkansas press and was called for a blocking foul in the 2nd half when Michigan was beginning to pull away. The kid laid on the floor for effect or disappointment as there was no injury on the play.
If you do watch the game on a replay, I think the clock in the background reads 5:24, and the play-by-play supports this:

I'll buy that. You can see the three-point line next to Haydar. Hardaway's a good shooter and all, but Beilein would probably yell at him if he hot-dogged a free-throw like that.
December 9th, 2012 at 1:57 AM ^
Right there is where Haydar wakes up. Kid was unconscious from three.
December 9th, 2012 at 2:06 AM ^
No, he was just channeling his inner Nik Stauskas, which he stole from Nik Stauskas for the game.
December 9th, 2012 at 2:11 AM ^
Yeah, Haydar was doing a pretty good Canadian Bacon impression. Except when he missed that bunny near the basket. Nik is like Chuck Norris. He doesn't miss, the basket just gets out of the way sometimes.

Its ok, I forgive Nik (or Chuck if thats the route we're going here). I still have my homer glasses on and think he's the best pure shooter in the country.

In UFC you could still hop on his back and keep punching him.
December 9th, 2012 at 10:35 AM ^
In prison you could still shank him if he doesn't beg to become the prison bicycle.

I thought that too. I was also thinking that during the UM-Nebraska game when they kept showing that inflatable Husker mascot in the student section...poor rubes who have seats behind him are screwed.

I liked the panda outfit, but that guy didn't display nearly enough kung fu moves yesterday.

Very late-arriving (all over), and in the case of the upper-deck students, often not arriving at all.
I know, it was a noon game, shortly before finals, blah blah blah (though I don't know how that excuses the alumni who waltzed in late) . . . for a top 5 team it was disappointing.

I'm sure it will be brutal. It won't matter against Binghamton, but everyone - alumni and students alike - needs to get it together by the Big Ten season. Our homecourt advantage yesterday was pretty minimal. We can't afford that against better competition.
December 9th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
Needs to get a lot louder as well. How awesome would it be if Crisler became a feared place to play in. Because right now, the Maize Rage strikes fear in the hearts of... well... nobody really. It'll get there though.

The fact that the pom-poms were still sitting on those seats is a clear giveaway that they were never occupied all game (so it wasn't a matter of people just moving down).
If the students aren't going to show up, there should be some program for them to at least donate them away. There must be people out there willing to go. A Final Four contender shouldn't have problems attracting fans.
