Big Ten Championship Game Open Thread
Nebraska-Wisconsin. 8:00PM EST on FOX. Gus Johnson and Charles Davis are calling the game.
Various sources have the line in favor of Nebraska by 3. If Nebraska wins, Michigan is all but assured the Capital One Citrus Bowl against A&M (likely) or Georgia, while the conversation is a bit more complicated if Wisconsin wins.

UHM. Has anyone seen the ACC Championship game score? We see could a 6-6 team in a BCS bowl.....
GT just picked off FSU with 2 mins left, down 21-15....

I remember that 2004 Nebraska/Texas Tech game too in which the Huskers lost 70-10. It was the same day we beat Minnesota (Henne to Tyler Ecker in the final minute).

Looks like both teams are willing to just run out the clock now.

If Nebraska was going to play this badly, why didn't they do it against Michigan?

Today Northwestern basketball lost to UIC, 40-54. The total score of this game could end up higher than that.

GEO TECH has a chance.. a slim one.. but a chance to win the ACC

Bielema is the douchiest fucking piece of shit, perhaps ever in the B1G. There have certainly been worse villains, but BB is the meatiest of fucking dense meathead pieces of garbage I've ever seen, perhaps in sports generally.
Also very lucky given his complete lack of sophistication. I've seen more intelligence in door knobs.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:15 PM ^
I completely agree. He also tends to make some real bonehead (meathead may be a better description) decisions in games. Increases his level of douche by a bit IMO

As bad as the Big10 was this year the ACC was a lot worse. GT is still in the game against FSU with 2 minutes left. The same GT team that lost by 3 tds to Midd Tenn St.

Dammit Georgia Tech
December 1st, 2012 at 11:12 PM ^
Shoot. I really wanted GT to win that game. Oh well.

FSU gets the INT, ACC Championship and will play in the Orange Bowl.

Pelini's gonna get Martinez killed before he's satisfied

I'm amazed that that pile driver didn't get flagged.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:15 PM ^
And theres your make up call for missing the first call which was the actual personal foul

I would fire Pelini after this game. There is something wrong in Nebraska.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:18 PM ^
No way, he brought them back from the tire fire they were before he got there.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:21 PM ^
Officials are still with him though.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:24 PM ^
They're about right back where they started now...
December 1st, 2012 at 11:28 PM ^
Well if this isn't a tire fire, I don't know what is.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:38 PM ^
They got their ass kicked or are getting their ass kicked, but they won 10 games, made the conference title game and beat this Wisconsin team earlier in the season. There only losses prior to this are to an undefeated OSU and a Pac 12 runner up UCLA.
Pelini may not be the long term solution, but he still has done a lot of good things for Nebraska.

anyone else think Bielema is gaining weight.. he looks to have gained a good amount of weight the last few years... especially his face/head.. def looks like a frat boy meat head

See for yourself.

select Michigan?

Nebraska played in the Cap One Bowl last year.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:23 PM ^
So there may be a sense of not having a repeat visitor back to back
December 1st, 2012 at 11:20 PM ^
Bowls get to pick pretty much whon they want. It's not the 2nd place B1G team, it's the 2nd selection available after the Rose Bowl/other BCS
December 1st, 2012 at 11:17 PM ^
So it looks like we'll play Georgia in the Capital One Bowl then?
December 1st, 2012 at 11:21 PM ^
Cap One can't take Michigan. Nebraska has 10 wins to our 8. Their choice is Nebraska or Northwestern.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:22 PM ^
Got it. So Outback most likely? Who is the likeliest opponent?
December 1st, 2012 at 11:25 PM ^
My guess is Outback vs. UGA, A&M, or LSU. Cap One might try to pair A&M with Nebraska to get the allure of an old Big 12 matchup.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:29 PM ^
The Atlanta Journal Constitution says Texas A&M is likely going to the Capital One. If I understand this correctly, the Cotton and Outback then would choose between Georgia, LSU, and South Carolina. The Cotton would have first shot at LSU; the Outback would have the first shot at Georgia or South Carolina.

That's interesting. Other rumours indicate that Georgia will be in Capital One.
December 1st, 2012 at 11:22 PM ^
No. We aren't eligible for the Capital One. We're going to the Outback or possibly the Gator.
