Plans for Wife Day?
So we now face the grim reality that Michigan does not have a game tomorrow. The bye week has become, as many of you are aware, known as Wife Day on this blog. What are your plans? Anything particularly special for the wife?
Not having a wife, mine are as follows:
9:00-11:00: Get caught up on Breaking Bad.
11:00-12:00: Keep on truckin'.
12:00-3:30: Try to reach enlightenment and/or light workout.
3:30-6:30: Watch OSU v. MSU.
6:30-8:00: Check up on the moonshine still.
8:00-11:00: Watch Wisconsin v. Nebraska.
11:00-12:00: Lollygag.

Letting my wife sleep in while I go pick my son up from a cub scout camping event in the early am, and then taking him to a pee wee football game later in the morning. I married a Spartan, so I will spend the afternoon watching the MSU v Ohio game and pretending to root for State. I don't like MSU's chances though, and my wife is a bit of a sore loser, so I also expect I'll have to endure a lot of her angry stares as if State losing is somehow my fault because I went to Michigan.

Wake the husband with a BJ, slip out of bed to make him an omelette, bring it to him on a tray with the NYT and a pair of tickets to the Gun & Boat & Woodworking show, spend all day cooking a gorgeous crown roast while he attends that with his buddy, serve dinner with his favorite pie & present the $300 bottle of scotch I was saving for this occasion. End with stargazing on the deck with a great cigar while waiting for Kate Upton to arrive for our three-way.
tl;dr version: Same as every wifeday.

I stopped reading at the part where you wake up your husband with a BJ. Nicely done.

Right at the point where it went from non-fiction to fiction, in other words.

Don't let her know you hang out on college football blogs. That's for when she's already committed to you and has started to figure out what "for better or worse" means.

They all have televisions. That was how I watched the '97 game versus Ohio State while my wife fed and changed our 6 month old daughter.
They kind of frowned when I asked the staff to bring up some beer and bar snacks, but I figured The Happiest Place on Earth meant everyone should be happy....

Given that my wife and I are expecting our first on October 14th, but her doctor says the baby could come any day now, mine could very well be spent in the hospital.

Congrats. My wife is expecting on October 29 for our first.

I'm getting a wife - wedding day is tomorrow in downtown Chicago!
You have no idea how much work it took to get the wedding to be on this weekend.

My sister made me miss the MSU game in 2000. On the plane from MI to CA, I got stuck next to a consultant type with a machine gun mouth. I figured that a suitable revenge would be to schedule my own wedding outdoors in Fargo in January, but unfortunately I didn't meet anyone willing to marry me until I moved back to Sacramento.

Wife day for me mostly revolves around a wedding that my fiance is in tomorrow. She's in it and has to be there at 10:30am. Ceremony is at 2, reception at 5 (Catholic wedding...)
So I will probably get up, watch the Ryder Cup, drop fiancee off, watch more Ryder Cup/football, go to ceremony, find somewhere to watch football/Ryder Cup, reception. Good news for reception is open bar. Bad news for reception is fiancee isn't drinking, so it won't be as fun. But overall, for wife day, it's not going to be a bad day at all. I'm not too upset about missing most of college football tomorrow. Not that many good games on.

My wife and I are going to the Cal-ASU game. I went to Cal for undergrad, but I'm more of an M fan now because I spent 9 years in the student section at M compared to 4 at Cal.

Surprising the girlfriend with breakfast in bed tomorrow morning. Just going to probably lay around all day with her and watch football (she loves college football, lucky me). Then probably go take her out to dinner at some fancy place and all that good mushy love stuff.
