OT: Michigan (the state) gets some xkcd love [EDIT: And apparently everywhere else does, too]
Despite it being April, we know it can still turn into the last panel: http://xkcd.com/1037
[EDIT: Link fixed.]
Wait what comic are you talking about? The latest one? Because that's not really a MIchigan thing...
It's location-sensitive. It reads where you are and your location appears in the text of the comic. Mine says "here in Boston."
the last line in the mouseover joke
So he must made a different comic for people in warmer states. XKCD is great.
It also is browser sensitive, so if people using Chrome would see a different comic than a person using Safari or Firefox.
Fail!
Look at the bottom of the strip and should give a permalink address for the comic you're talking about. Put that back in your link and it should work for everyone.
This strip actually doesn't have a image hotlink, just a normal link
I kicked a turtle in the desert onto its back and watched it struggle. What did you do?
Does the last panel change for where you are too? I saw a tornado in the last panel but I'm guessing it has to do with snow for Michigan.
On mobile browser the strip is just a black circle
Is there more than one panel in the strip? I can't see any more.
My Chicago/Firefox one isn't particularly interesting. Abraham Lincoln.
I thought he had just missed with this comic. However, if you change the size of your browser window, the frames of the comic change. I'm guessing there are lots of factors that go into the comic.
There's also the link for the image of the strip. So you can copy the image and then embed it above if you wanted to.
TOO quiet.
Here's a list if anyone is interested in seeing everything:
