Or they might offer Mike Heuerman who has a brother currently playing for osu.
According to his 247 page, OSU already offered.
Buckeye fans have been saying Heuerman is #1 on their board for weeks...naturally, I assume, because they didn't expect to get Breneman and can still hold serve that they got their top guy.
To be fair, Heuerman isn't a slouch. But yes, plenty of Buckeye rationalization going on with this one.
If Urban wanted Breneman, he'd be a Buckeye. /s
is a little small to play TE don't you think? I was thinking more... 3rd down back...
I'm sure we'd like to have him, but what's good for Penn State is good for us in these instances.
Hopefully he chooses Penn. St. Going to OSU would make the rednecks FAR too happy for my liking.
Your avatar makes me happy. Stone, right?
Yup. Arrogant Bastard.
Have you had some of their "Stone Collaborations"? The one they did with Green Flash (my favorite) was really really good.
I have not, but you have now given me something to look for in the liquor store/whole foods. Thanks.
Meyer: "OSU's a great place for Adam. I coached Aaron Hernandez."
O'Brien: "Umm, so did I. He was my second best tight end behind Rob freaking Gronkowski."
Meyer: "Oh. . .that's right."
Looking at his highlights, never seen a tight end actually maintain his distance over the DB's after the catch. Great get for whoever gets him.
That is all.
Cam Gordon finds this comment offensive.
I'd rather him go to PSU over OSU but that doesn't mean I want him at PSU. They still need to suffer several more years of medocrity.
Jerry Sandusky and anyone who covered up/ignored those crimes need to go to jail.
If they properly clean house, then I'm OK with their football program doing well again.
i think he is Ohio bound
No one else does.
Apparently Hackenberg and Breneman have been talking with O'Brien playing the Brady/Gronk card. Looks good for PSU
A competitive PSU serves UM in two ways:
1. The better PSU is, the more time Meyer must devote to prepping for them, as opposed to focusing attention on Wiscy and UM.
2. The better PSU is, the less Meyer can poach the best PA recruits on the "don't go to a stinking shitpile of a program" narrative.
Sandusky can rot in hell, JoePa deserved to be canned, and that program definitely should endure the punishment of years to recover, but I, for one, would be OK with PSU returning to a modicum of competitiveness for the above 2 reasons.
he has been gone long enough for me to stop looking down these posts for a TOM VH comment, but i guess not.
