Buckeye fans have been saying Heuerman is #1 on their board for weeks...naturally, I assume, because they didn't expect to get Breneman and can still hold serve that they got their top guy.

To be fair, Heuerman isn't a slouch. But yes, plenty of Buckeye rationalization going on with this one.

If Urban wanted Breneman, he'd be a Buckeye. /s

I'm sure we'd like to have him, but what's good for Penn State is good for us in these instances.

Meyer: "OSU's a great place for Adam. I coached Aaron Hernandez."

O'Brien: "Umm, so did I. He was my second best tight end behind Rob freaking Gronkowski."

Meyer: "Oh. . .that's right."

Looking at his highlights, never seen a tight end actually maintain his distance over the DB's after the catch. Great get for whoever gets him.

I'd rather him go to PSU over OSU but that doesn't mean I want him at PSU. They still need to suffer several more years of medocrity.

A competitive PSU serves UM in two ways:

1. The better PSU is, the more time Meyer must devote to prepping for them, as opposed to focusing attention on Wiscy and UM.

2. The better PSU is, the less Meyer can poach the best PA recruits on the "don't go to a stinking shitpile of a program" narrative.

Sandusky can rot in hell, JoePa deserved to be canned, and that program definitely should endure the punishment of years to recover, but I, for one, would be OK with PSU returning to a modicum of competitiveness for the above 2 reasons.
