OT: Friday night open/ what are you drinking thread?
I, personally, am drinking the leftovers from all of the tailgates. Basically it's just the cheap beers bought to play beer pong. It's a mix of Bud Light, Blue Light, and Molson. Not great quality, but it'll get me through the Wings and Championship games. For those of you who may have stopped by the Jager Yearbook(my tailgate) thanks for stopping by. Let's root for a Georgia loss tomorrow and a Sparty loss as well.

two parts ginger ale. one part makers mark. dash of bitters. lemon.
Watching Oregon til they cover the spread, hopefully by halftime. don't forget a Baylor loss would also ease the mind come sunday
December 2nd, 2011 at 9:13 PM ^
After reading many of the so-called experts, they think that even with a win Baylor would still remain behind Michigan. Although, you are correct, that a Texas win would ease the mind.

Deciding to not read a page of corps this semester was a wonderful idea
December 2nd, 2011 at 9:19 PM ^
I am not familiar with your usage of corps.
December 2nd, 2011 at 10:27 PM ^
I did not read a page in my corporations book all semester and now have to learn it all.

It's my birthday tonight, so Fat Tire out of cans and megangoblue has some Funky Llama Chardonnay.
December 2nd, 2011 at 10:20 PM ^
The calendar floats over our lives like political boundaries float over natural geography.
Notwithstanding that, happy b-day. I suggest pushing the limits of justification. I try to do that every chance I get - a birthday is as good as any.
December 2nd, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
It's me and the girlfriend and we have three liters of wine and a twelve-pack. I'd say we'll push that limit tonight.

Just saying.

Ongoing battle against the seasonal cold. Winter stress, nothing new. On the plus side, all the mosquitoes are gone, and it hasn't rained for almost two days!

600 mg of vitamin C every day until symptoms go away, along with one zinc pill every morning.
According to the crazy rican pharmacist anyway.
Alcohol kills germs.

Something out of the Sam Adams winter sampler I traditionally treat myself to after Thanksgiving. Since I always save the best for last (that is, the Winter Lager and the Old Fezziwig) but I want one of the specialties, I'll put it to a vote. First to two wins. Should I have the coffee stout, the Holiday Porter, or the Chocolate Bock?
December 2nd, 2011 at 9:31 PM ^
I bought that sampler this year. Didn't care for either of those three -- I wish they would sell the Winter Lager and Old Fezziwig by themselves.
That said, Chocolate Bock.
December 2nd, 2011 at 9:38 PM ^
They do sell the Winter Lager by itself. But not, to my immense chagrin, the Old Fezziwig.
December 2nd, 2011 at 11:23 PM ^
If you haven't already give the Blackberry Witbier a try. Delicious.
December 2nd, 2011 at 9:33 PM ^
All good choices. The coffee stout is my preference of those.

I'm drinking the greatest winter brew known to man...Troegs Brewery's Mad Elf.
On a side note...I had lunch at Grizzly Point (is that right?) brewery on Friday after Thanksgiving, ordered the heavy scottish ale...delicious, I highly recommend for those lucky enough to live near Ann Arbor.
December 2nd, 2011 at 9:41 PM ^
I like that place too, also good food.
December 2nd, 2011 at 9:47 PM ^
The food was great...This time in Ann Arbor was the first time I really walked around on a non-gameday type atmosphere...made me enjoy the city even more than before.

new glarus doesn't travel far ... although I gotta give it to sconsin, it's like a playground of craft beers.
