They should have gone after…

They should have gone after Nick Schnabel right away or at the very least, made him a top candidate even when he showed interest in Clemson. He helped build this program with Bakich over the last decade.

IMO, they should have just…

IMO, they should have just offered Nick Schnabel straight away to keep the direction of the program intact and to keep current players and recruits on board. Young A+ recruiter and a great baseball mind with plenty of head coach interest by other schools over the last ten years, but now it's too late. I guess Jordan Bischel would be my next choice.

I would also like to see Ryan Kelley, former M pitcher and current head coach at WSU get a look.

I'm sorry for your loss but I appreciate you posting this. My dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly three weeks ago, hours after the Penn State game. Like you, I learned all about being a Michigan fan from him and each week, we'd rejoice or complain in common. When the clock hit 0:00 at the end of the Ohio State game, I had my biggest, most unexpected breakdown knowing that this was something we'd both been waiting for, but there I was, unable to text him or call him to share the joy. That said, I also like to tell myself that my dad and your dad and plenty of other M fans gone too soon have provided their energy in a way that's made this season go down the way it has. Right before the OSU kickoff, I sent a text to my friends from my graduating class (1997 baby!) to let them know that my dad sent the snow to slow down the Buckeyes!

Speaking of weight rooms and…

Speaking of weight rooms and because Michigan baseball has been a hot topic of late, I thought I'd share that M baseball coach's wife, Emily Schnabel, won a strongwoman national championship earlier this month (in Columbus, no less!), beating some of of the best lightweights in the country in dominant fashion, including one of The Rock's "Titans" from The Titan Games! This just adds to her many titles in this sport. Go Blue!

I'd rather see Nick Schnabel get the job if an assistant were to be promoted. He's the best recruiter in the conference, currently helping to assemble one of the best incoming classes in the nation, and he knows the game. M players also love him, giving him lots of credit for their development. That said, I hope Warde does the right thing and steps up. Michigan doesn't need to be an also-ran with their resources and although geography is a hindrance, we seem to have been able to overcome that with softball.

My gym is two doors down from that shop. Super nice people and all of the artists are amazing plus they did a great job renovating their building. Kind of like a "who's who" from other shops coming together to start North Main. (I don't have tattoos but this is what my clients tell me.)

As for Michigan, no HIT and no balancing on bosu balls, please. They should hire The Mountain That Rides.

Nice to see someone with compassion, Dudeness. Agree or disagree with how he handled his duties, this is still a person with a family, including young kids, who just lost his job right before the holidays. Some of the comments in the other threads about Hunter made me ashamed of certain members of our fan base. I don't care how poorly you think someone performed, typing something like, "he should rape himself with a steak knife" is classless.

Thank you. If you think it

Thank you. If you think it may be a bit before you get a half rack, I have a pair of squat stands that I don't plan on taking with me to my new place. They're not the greatest things in the world, but they work. You can have them if you want to come pick them up. I'd rather give them away to a cash strapped student that loves to lift than haggle with someone on Craigslist.

I'm a guy. My "long shot

I'm a guy. My "long shot marketing ploy" has gotten me 133 clients in 13 months while training through a polar vortex in an unheated garage with zero advertising other than word-of-mouth. It's gone well enough that my wife and I purchased a 3800 square foot building in downtown Plymouth in order to expand. It's really not a ploy at all... if you can show women that heavy strength training can help them look and feel great and they can learn and participate in such endeavors without every douche bag under the sun telling them how to fix their form, then they'll partake. Results are everything. A lot of my girls are stronger than most guys. See below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3C5ZamxN5dE

I can and have trained guys and would consider training them again if I thought I needed to, but this is my market. My new place, like my garage, will be women only, other than myself and my other trainer that I contract. I also have three young daughters and I want them to grow up knowing that you can be a girl and be a total badass and that it's not only OK, but admirable.

For now, this is my "side job", but I'm hoping that before long, I'll be able to abandon my Michigan engineering degree and quit that crap.

Unless you're one of the

Unless you're one of the handful of women who posts here, it's irrelevant, as I don't train men. Unless, of course, you're simply asking out of curiosity. I do small groups of six and my cheapest package ends up at $10 per session.

While I'm sure Jeremy is strong, the likelihood of him being able to squat 600-700 is very, very slim. The raw world record (without wraps) for what would be his weight class is 672 and the American record is 578.5.

I agree. Darkhorse is one of my faves. As far as Michigan goes, Kuhnhenn is my #1 with DRIPA being my all time favorite beer, then probably a tie for #2 between Darkhorse and Founders. Bells and Jolly Pumpkin after that, but Bells has dropped for me after the last two years of Hopslam batches went down hill.

I'm also the father of three

I'm also the father of three daughters and while mine are much younger (almost 2, 5,and 7), I'm tring to start them out right. I now have a two year running tradition where I skip the first part of my older daughters' dance recital at the Power Center and take my youngest around to be photographed at various campus landmarks. I plan to do this every year and present a gigantic photo board to her as a gift when she gets accepted into U of M.
