lager and my guiness it's a shame to the name.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:23 PM ^
Shoot I was hoping to try that. I'm gonna have to hope that you just hate black lagers. Have you ever had McSorley's?
September 23rd, 2011 at 8:30 PM ^
You Should give the foreign extra stout a go.
September 23rd, 2011 at 5:43 PM ^
I'm at work for another 2+ hours, so until I can get home, I'll have to rely on photos of Gorgeous Al Borges and Denard smiling to intoxicate me.
September 23rd, 2011 at 5:44 PM ^
A case of Miller High Life bottles, from The Beverage Company, Traverse City. Yes, I am a scum!
September 23rd, 2011 at 5:44 PM ^
5:45 on the east coast and already doing work. I approve, just make sure you're prepared for tomorrows game.
September 23rd, 2011 at 5:49 PM ^

September 23rd, 2011 at 8:50 PM ^
You're not going to hear me say this often....

September 23rd, 2011 at 5:50 PM ^
Staying sober tonight. gonna go act like a drunk fool at professor thom's tomorrow.
September 23rd, 2011 at 5:55 PM ^
Drunk from wine at CS department function. Good start to the night
September 23rd, 2011 at 5:58 PM ^
I have a friend coming over tonight to celebrate his birthday this weekend. He'll be staying the night in our guest room so we can watch the game tomorrow morning. This good friend happens to be an SDSU alum, so the game should be interesting.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:07 PM ^
Does you friend know about the tremendous world of San Diego microbrews.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:12 PM ^
Yes, he was born and raised there and has told me all about it. We actually live just up the street from a Gordon Biersch, which we frequent, er, frequently.
This guy actually likes Michigan, he was accepted out of high school but his parents (who are Greek immigrants) wouldn't let him leave San Diego for school and he ended up at SDSU. Since then he's been a huge Michigan fan anyway.
September 23rd, 2011 at 7:06 PM ^
Didn't realize it was a SoCal thing. I discovered it in Hawaii at a UH volleyball match. Those Wahine know how to do it up right! The restaurant is pretty nice too. Have you had the garlic fries? Hot damn I might have to visit there tonight (the one in greater Denver that is).
September 23rd, 2011 at 7:11 PM ^
Yeah, GB is from San Diego. They have multiple GBs in both Dodger Stadium and Petco Park in SD. The garlic fries are the bomb diggity.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:02 PM ^
Wish I could spell but damn my wife loves these crazy drinks.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:02 PM ^
Oktoberfest in GR tonight so I will be drinking Erdinger and Hofbräu Oktoberfest all night. PROST!
September 23rd, 2011 at 11:27 PM ^
on the Erdinger. Love that stuff.
September 23rd, 2011 at 11:44 PM ^
And Bitburger.
September 24th, 2011 at 4:55 AM ^
Hate to one up you, but I just woke up after a night of drinking at the Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. Hit the Spaten and Hacker-Pschorr "tents". What an amaizing time. Anyone who likes bier and fun has to make the pilgrimage. One more trip down before I fly home Sunday morning. Go Blue From Germany!
September 24th, 2011 at 8:26 AM ^
I hate you. Haha...my family went last year and raved about it. It's on my bucket list!
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:04 PM ^
Jameson and Sprite.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:08 PM ^
Sam Adams Oktoberfest followed by some Woodford Reserve later
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:37 PM ^
Incidentally -- does Sam Adams make a bad beer? If they do, I haven't had it.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:55 PM ^
Ughh! And my number one beer in the world is Boston lager
September 23rd, 2011 at 7:06 PM ^
I've seen that one in the various sampler packs I've purchased, but I'm not sure I have actually ever had one. As Tom Hanks said in Big, "I'll stay away from her, then."
September 23rd, 2011 at 8:35 PM ^
and Cranberry Lambic is just awful....Can't wait for the winter pack with the Old Fiziwig Ale in it though!
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:09 PM ^
White Birch Brewing Hop Session Ale. Pretty good amber, I am impressed.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:09 PM ^
September 23rd, 2011 at 7:03 PM ^
Mr Lahey is the liquor.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:13 PM ^
Green Flash IPA. Right now it is my favorite.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:21 PM ^
very topical for this weekend.
September 23rd, 2011 at 7:17 PM ^
I kind of feel like a traitor ,so maybe when I get home I'll try not to drink a SD beer. For me it is so easy and convinient to buy these good SD microbrews. It is harder to find the Michigan microbrews around here. There is a bar in downtown SD that sometimes has the Jolly Pumpkin stuff on tap, but that is about it.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:17 PM ^
whisky and vernors, best drink there is
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:18 PM ^
Tussin and grape Nehi, neat. A/k/a "the usual."
It takes the edge off of things, after a stressful day.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:20 PM ^
herradura and cointreau margaritas. but not yet, since it's only 3:20 on the west coast.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:57 PM ^
Is herradera? I have a rather large bottle of Cointreau in front of me and I'm trying to decide what to do with it
September 26th, 2011 at 3:11 PM ^
great tequila.
as for what to do with the cointreau, i would advise drinking it, but lemme know if you came up with a better solution.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:22 PM ^
Köstritzer down at the Brauhaus.
Anyone up for German fare (beer) in old Philadelphia is more than welcome to join me.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:24 PM ^
Riot Punch.
Just kidding, staying cheap and Canadian with Molson.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:26 PM ^
might watch the game. Probably get a bunch of drinks on the cheap.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
Just cracked the first bottle of two sixers brought back from my buddy's trip to the EMU game last weekend. It's better appreciated and savored when not readily available...
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
Bought one if those Miller lite keg things that you keep in the fridge. $19.99 for it. Went home and did the math and it only holds 16 beers. I could have gotten a case for $18.99. Thats 8 less beers for a buck more!
I'm so stupid.
Btw, would rather drink much better beer, but have to go low card to avoid a diabetic coma.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:29 PM ^
Considering making a run over to Half-Acre to get a growler of Sticky Fat. If I'm too lazy it'll be DFH Punkin Ale and/or homebrew.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:41 PM ^
How is Punkin? I feel the need to try it because I love basically everything DFH makes, but it sounds...odd.
September 23rd, 2011 at 6:56 PM ^
is pretty weird but delicious at the same time.
September 23rd, 2011 at 8:27 PM ^
I like it- then again I like most DFH. If you can find it, I'd say pull the trigger and buy, you won't be disappointed.
September 23rd, 2011 at 7:21 PM ^
It's the greatest fall brew hands down...had some on draft from their brew pub a while back...it's epic
September 23rd, 2011 at 8:41 PM ^
It's definitely not spicy like a lot of other pumpkin ales. It's good, and even better when they mix it with 90 minute at the brewpub.
