SportsNation Poll is up
http://apps.facebook.com/fanappz/poll/vote?id=29536
After something like 83 million votes crashed the final, Sports Nation moved the poll to facebook. Michigan vs. FSU for hundreds of copies of their game. Do it for the students.
will that limit the bot voting/multiple voting?
Unless someone knows how to write a program to create FB accounts, this should clean up the vote.
I get an error message and can't vote...
"like" the page first.
Well were already losing. We cant lose now
with around 700 votes cast. Time for everyone who got a bit lazy watching the bots duke it out to head over to Facebook and vote as a signed-in member. I'm guessing that bots are not going to be able to sway this one way or another, so if we want to add to our list of championships it is going to truly come from fan participation. Go Blue!
Scoreboard? (for those with a web filter at work)
73%-27%, but there are fewer than 1,000 votes. It just started.
Now it 70-30 FSU....Come on blue get everyone you know on facebook to vote blue!!!!
lets go!
I propose we vacate our wins from the previous rounds and put MGOBLOG on a 2 year probation from ESPN polls. No loss of schollys though.
600,000 FB fans to FSUs 90,000. If the vote lasts more than 1 afternoon we'll win.
Vote placed. How is UM losing 72-28?
Gotta think we have little chance to win this. Too many rivals are going to vote against us plus the video does not do our tradition justice. We're gonna need a strong showing from the Alum and fan base.
EDIT: Actually, it appears while Michigan Football's official facebook page has 600,000 members, Florida State doesn't even have an official facebook page! That could be all we need if the official page promotes fans to vote.
EDIT 2: Someone already pointed that out. Once the official page promotes it, it'll be interesting to see what happens.
We're down about 350-1000 right now.
Error
I had the same problem until I said yes to the little pop up instead of no
Well Michigan has my vote.
UM down 600 votes with close to 2,000 bein cast. Thats lame they moved it to facebook.
I have to create a facebook accout just to vote? That bull shit!
are you from 2004?
Don't really see the point in a facebook page to be honest. And no, I don't have one either.
Count me out, too. No facebook.
No facebook.
I am not the only one. No facebook, and no desire to have it. Excuse me... I have to chase some kids off my lawn.
Is this a generational thing?
The official Michigan football fan page on facebook needs to post the link and get the message out like right now!
40 minutes ago. Of course it was immediately deleted as posts usually are, but you'd think they'd be on top of it as they were with the other rounds in the bracket.
We are already catching up a bit. it was 63-37 after I voted
Depending on how committed you are, you can vote, then delete the app, then vote again as many times as you please.
Does this mean it would be possible to generate a bot to vote, delete app, vote, etc?
too many michigan grads have good jobs that block facebook at work. we could be in trouble.
I voted, but I think this will be tough to win. Too many Michigan haters combined with the fact that the FSU video is really cool.
66 Bad Guys - 34 Good Guys
on FB even though we have 5 times as many FB fans as them. Whoever runs the Michigan FB fan page has taken the day off and not posted anything today.
At 7:55 p.m. Friday, the vote totals are
FSU 4,490 votes (66%)
U-M 2,320 votes (34%)
I protest because the voting location is different from the other rounds. This is like the voting precinct location moving from one place to another without duly notifying registered voters.
66-34 FSU at 1 AM ET. I'm surprised that the Michigan Football facebook page still hasn't updated itself with the new location of the poll.
