Good news coming this week for Michigan Football.

I know on a quiet Saturday night there is nothing better than speculation if you are stuck inside.

Allan Trieu of scout just tweeted this message:

Good news coming this week for #Michigan

I know Thompson and Godin are next week, what are you best guesses?

Do you know everything that is happening in the world?  It would help my ego if just once you'd say "That's news to me; I have no earthly idea what in the hell this guy is talking about."  It would make me feel a lot better about always being the last to know things.

Tom said on Twitter that there might be two good things happening.  Appears that what Trieu was talking about was the first thing, which is supposed to happen this week, the thing that Tom said would be very public.  What Barnett is talking about is the second thing, which could be the following week.

Man, this is fun.

I think he is a great QB, good accuracy, good arm strength  and height (I don't know his height but he looks tall), but (yes this is ALWAYS a but) I hope he grows into his body a little bit, a tall skinny guy like that could break real easily under a DT or DE.  He is still just a sophomore so he has time to bulk up though.

With all that said, I want Shane Morris to play for Michigan 2 years from now!

as in the kid visited Michigan on the 27th, and now there is "very good news" this week.  He seems to have a line of communication with the kid..  I'll I'm saying is that its probably more likely to be Kiel than it is Zeke Pike, or Dunn (who hasn't even visited yet).  I thought it was interesting that Kiel didn't even announce a visit publicly.

Think about it. Very public, one of the midwest's best. It's Dunn. A flip from OSU to Michigan would be a very public event. Otherwise it's Pike, but I highly doubt it since he just committed.

Remember, there's the "public" event and Barnett's "Kentucky in my eyes" event. Two different things. So if things are as we would hope, it's Dunn (or someone else from the Midwest whose announcement would be a public event) sometime midweek AND Pike announcing the weekend or next week. Not Dunn OR Pike. I'm tingly all over.

This is my first year on the boards, so I don't really know much about Tom and Allen, but are they specifically football guys? Because there's nothing specifying football, could it be basketball

My guess is Pike  Tom emphasized  Kentucky.... And following Tom weekly posts  he sounded some what surprized when he chose Auburn..... My guess Pike let Tom know he is coming here after all    Also Pike announcement was very public

hope im right  if not him Pls let it be Dunn lol

I think it's Pike for what it's worth. When he verbaled to Auburn Tom said the "mega" class could still be in play. This is just me assuming that meant Pike still may come to Michigan after all.

i liked pike when he first was being recruited, but if it is him, he doesnt seem very loyal. anyone that would flop that fast probably seems to like the spotlight, aka dee hart, and would not seem to be a solid commit, coupled with the fact that he got thrown out of the 7 0n 7 game, i think i would rather have keil, plus i think he is rated higher.  i really hope its day, we need dts

Scout could run the story on the commitment today and if not the commitment will be made public tomorrow on WTKA. The plot thickens...

Edit: Also said it wasn't Pike

Picked these up from a Scout thread:

Trieu confirmed not Thompson or Godinon.  But i see that was already assumed.  He also said news would most likely come on Monday, but it could come as early as Sunday.

Tom Beaver:

all will be explained soon enough

sorry -- it's not that we want to do it this way, sometimes it works out that way

this is NOT the silent-merely-moved-up-earlier

(but it's not Pike)

That would seem to imply that the recruit is near AA (Detroit or possibly Toledo).

Possiblilites: Wormley, Richardson, Ross, Ojemudia, Burbridge. (I'm not from Michigan, are OLSM and Farmington Hills close to AA? I think they are Detroit suburbs, correct?)

This is assuming that Godin and Thompson are sticking with their previously determined announcement dates.

After extensive study of Da Vinci's paintings, I believe I have discovered a secret...the ancient master was leaving us codes in his paintings. According to Da Vinci, the earth-shattering news is...taco fridays in the student dorms?

...I'll be the first to admit there may be some margin of error in this experiment...

It wasn't right the first time you said it, why the hell would it be right the next ten times!?!! Gotta love family guy (although sometimes I feel like those manatees writing the show are running out of ideas).
