Seriously, this is beyond amazing for a preview. Are you heading to Bed Bath and Beyond too? Or maybe there won't be enough time...
I have a slightly different version of bye week activity: Wife is going to Colorado to visit extended family and friends and see new babies. Yuck! Howeva - in a drastic turn of events I plan a trip to Auburn to catch LSU @ Auburn on the Plains.
Clemson is seriously an amazing place to go to a football game. The whole atmosphere from tailgating, to the Tigers rubbing Howard's Rock and running down the hill to the game itself is an experience not to be missed.
I've been to about 4 games there over the years and I have more and more fun each time I go. Go to the game, then go to a bar.
The Esso club is always an experience. I was there for that 16-14 Michigan w Purdue in 2004. It was awesome, and the best part was after the game was over, I went back outside to tailgate because those southerners kept going all night!
Congrats CRex - a solid engagement trip story. And I think I can speak for all of us when I say we are really looking forward to wedding related hilarity down the road.
If it's a different sport, it's allowed. It's ridiculous, but allowed.
The issue is getting the team to give you millions of dollars and then let you play a different sport and risk injury. Obviously in this case Parker is going to take out a nice sized insurance policy.
Anything would be much appreciated and I'll definitely check out that site. As a mod, you can find my email easily if you can pull a rabbit out of your hat.
I fall into neither the Tate camp nor the Denard camp.
I fall into the "I want Michigan to play the QB that gives them the best chance of winning camp"
Given that both QB's knew they were in an open battle, these comments are pretty shocking. If this means that Denard gives them a better chance to win then so be it.
Pretty much every school in the Big 10 think Michigan is their huge, if not #1 rival.
I remember going to a game at Illinois one year and every single student was wearing a "Muck Fichigan" shirt. It was a shirt w/ the entire schedule on the back with the Michigan game highlighted as the big one.
It literally made no sense to me. I kind of felt bad for them. Also, Champaign smells like cow shit. So they don't have a lot going in their favor...
And order is restored to the world once again. Anyone else think there was a correlation between 2 of the worst season in 40+ years and NOT having the biggest stadium in the country??? hmmm?????
This is one of the stupidest lists I've ever seen. How can the Tampa Bay Rays be #6? Their fans literally invest nothing in them. Even using the ridiculous criteria, this is inane. They get around 20K people a game and when the Sox and the Yanks are in town the cheers are WAY louder for them than for the Rays.

But welcome back WLA! Bring on the unicorns!

To all the people being critical of Brian on this thread - this is HIS WEBSITE. Not yours. If you don't like his opinions, don't come here.
Why do you always
Have to follow a great play
With an awful one
Brian's was much more poetic.
Bud light now - sucks, but I'm sitting at my desk. Beer o'clock in the office! So that's a plus.
Soon to be drinking delicious German beers while devouring wurst. Now we're talking.
My head just asploded into a pile of quivering goo at my desk. Awesome.
I work at a hedge fund, I watched Lehman go down hard and seeing my beloved Wolverines being (aptly) called Lehman Brothers really just hit home.
I was depressed before. I'm now very, very depressed.
Can we discuss how freaking amazing it is that a West Virginia blog is called "Couch Fire Sports?"
I mean, you can't make this stuff up! This guy totally knows his audience.

Yes. I believe in the power of THE KNOWLEDGE
I don't know why, but I really can't stop laughing over the "Flarbity doo, I'm wearing a shoe" comment.
Well played, fearless leader. Tomorrow needs to hurry the hell up.
As usual, TomVH restores sanity to an otherwise crazy world.
Seriously Dee - don't make all of our heads asplode. Do the right thing.
While I agree reading too closely into these comments is often ridiculous, this seems like a classic Freudian slip to me...
I like learning new words from Buckeyes. Wen't is a really interesting one...
I'm terrified (in a good way) that these stats are showing we have a ~90% chance to win 9+ games.
Please let this happen.
So I guess we can say huzzah for the dearth of overall suck this week.

My prayer vigil will continue with renewed vigor tonight.
Perhaps I'll sacrifice a goat when I get home.

It's long, but seriously just watch. This is amazing.
Is there any way to make it compatible for anything pre OS 4.0?
I know I'm a luddite, but I still have the old 3G and I refuse to upgrade after all the horror stories I've read...
On the other hand, this may just force me to buy a new one.

I plan to cackle with knowing glee many, many times tomorrow afternoon.
How about the Pirate Wolverines? Your mascot could be a Wolverine with an eye patch. Boom! Pirate'd.
I'd love to have an entire day without any freakouts/bad news/meltdown material.
This seems like a good start - think we can keep this going oh Angry Michigan Blank Hating God???

Hooray Michigan player (maybe) on the Celtics. Here's to hoping he can make the squad. Seems like a pretty good opportunity for him.
