Meta: What the heck just happened to the post format??

It hurts my eyes! And is kinda hard to follow without the boxes and stuff. Maybe there's more dilithium in them.

Is this something breaking down, or the new format?

 

Edit: Sidebars are acting whacky too...something is up.

But up here in B10 Country, it gets cold and wet. You need much stockier processors to survive. I don't think those smaller, faster processors will last. It's a fad.

It looks sleek.  I was kind of confused at first too, but I do appreciate not having to page back through the MGoBoard.  The only thing I don't like is the avatar on the right--i.e. ITS NOT ON THE LEFT SIDE LIKE I'M USED TO!

It could definitely use some work, but I like where it is going. My guess is that a CSS file was pushed out too soon. Brian will probably have it fixed 2 minutes after he finds out he broke it.

That's my method for editing anything. Just do it while it's live, and let people deal with it being a little crazy for a while. Nothing like trial and error, as long as you're not working on something critical... (Whether this is critical or not is up for discussion.)

EDIT: I also like the fact that I don't have to load two extra pages to reply to someone. Any chance we'll see new posts by others showing up automatically as well? That would be fantastic.

With a little extra polish, all these improvements will be greatly appreciated.

I get a "quick find" in Firefox when I try to click on the comment section. Had to click "source" to type this.

then it tells me comment field is required - and wouldn't enter

My two cents, which you are free to ignore: I don't like how the user info is on the right side of the post. Especially on a wide-screen monitor, it just seems really far away from the content of the post if I want to see who wrote it.

It looks cool, but looking cool does not necessarily mean it's more functional.
