FWIW....

CMU has more than 2 players active. (Brown, Staley, Jenkins, Gordy, Zombo, Hartmann) I think that's all.

2 that come to mind are...

LeFevour and Joe Staley were 2 from CMU who both recruited and played under Kelly at Central.

i do remember

reading somewhere that USC would really look into suing the NCAA if Ohio did not receive worse/similar santctions that they did. Would love to see how that turns out...

1. I don't care about

1. I don't care about professional basketball.

2.With that being said, Stuckey is not a player to build a team around. Guy is a 1/2 guard, neither really. I categorize him as a great 6th man off the bench for a championship contender. Not much more than that

As much as people in Michigan

As much as people in Michigan hate the Penguins and dislike Crosby, if he does retire or cannot play at the highest level anymore, this is truly a sad moment for hockey.

I'm not one to say he was the next Wayne or anything, but he could be the closest thing we will ever see to a true phenom on the ice. All feelings aside of who I root for, this is not what I wanted to see happen with the young man.

Hopefully if he does retire he will still stay a part of the NHL and promote helmet safety and the risks and symptoms of concussions to coaches and athletes around the world. It would be a shame for him to fall back into nothing.

I'm looking to get 2. Want to

I'm looking to get 2. Want to sell me some of the ones you just bought if you don't need them? Hopefully same price/not too much higher. Looking to go to my first Michigan game. My email is [email protected] if your looking to sell. Thanks.

Althought the MAC is getting

Althought the MAC is getting some good publicity, it's really sad to see the lack of attnedance at these games. While they are on weeknights and most season ticket holders do not attend, it's pretty sad that the student section doesn't even show up. I go to CMU and we're dangerously close to being below averaging 15,000 people per game this year (D1 limit). Last weeks game against Ohio was pathetic at how many students and fans in general showed up. The coverage is great, but realy hurts attendance numbers.

I'm begining to wonder how

I'm begining to wonder how much more disturbing this story can actually get

How dare you compare Paterno

How dare you compare Paterno to Tressel...

well this would have been

well this would have been good....never

state

already has 2 losses. Only one in conference so far.

better yes, not legit.

There toughest road win the past 3 years now has been at Penn State last year (they weren't that good). The team has played very well at home under Dantonio, but not well on the road and the schedule has set up for them very nicely these past 2 years. Last year no OSU and Wisconsin and Notre Dame at home. This year, Wisconsin at home with 2 tough road trips to  Nebraska and Iowa. Lets wait for the verdict until those games are over.

on a side note...

One of my professors recently brought up the fact that he thinks the power conferences that are inevitable will break away from the NCAA and create a separate league claiming that they will no longer need to NCAA to bring in major amounts of money, and even paying players their stipened amount. Thoughts?

I think it's an interesting point and have yet to even consider this at the point. The conferences then could go playoff system, paying players, etc. and create their own governing system really creating another division in major college sports.

the best part about it (or

the best part about it (or worst) is that there actually brown. A few years ago they just decided to do away with it for the most part and replace it with black

I have also heard that

I have also heard that Pitt/WVU could potentially be a package deal. IMO I wouldn't mind seeing some "lesser" teams to expand the BIG 10 out.

Kansas, 'Cuse, VaTech, and Virginia in my mind would be ideal. All solid universities and this would expand the BIG 10 from Kansas to the DC area. Kansas and 'Cuse are solid with basketball, VaTech and Virginia for football (obviously virginia is not a huuge name but VaTech is a very successful ACC team).

what's the deal with wormley

what's the deal with wormley not being included? overhyped?

EDIT: not being included on the 250.

I'm not an umpire, but I'm

I'm not an umpire, but I'm fairly certain that if your feet are in fair territory, even if the ball is in foul it is an out. However this may only apply with fly balls and not ground balls. I really did not provide any insight. Best of Luck.

As everyone else, I would ike

As everyone else, I would ike the Lions to take Prince. If not though, I would really like to get JJ Watt. Not only is he a great player but a great person. Yes, DLine is a strength on the team, but Avril is a free agent and Vanden Bosch can't be around for too much longer (nobody knows how he will come back after the neck surgery). Watt and Suh would solidify our DLine for years to come.

Bonds was an unbelievable

Bonds was an unbelievable ball player. His personality has been blown out up because of his success followed quickly by his downfall. People are right when they say that it is a witch hunt. I don't see how Bonds gets convicted of anything due to the lack of evidence supplied by the government. It really is hard to tell how many people "cheated" during that time period, but I would guess upwards of 70-85% of the players.

People have a hard time looking at that era and seperating it from other eras. Are his numbers inflated because of steroids? yes. were 70-85% of other players as well? most likely. He was a hall of famer before he hit all those home runs and should be one despite taking steroids.

I think you play the best

I think you play the best that you can, and whatever results you get, you get. I for one would much rather play Nashville in the 1st round than Chicago/Anaheim. I know we have played pretty poorly against Nashville, but those teams have game changers that can be scary come playoff time. Nashville, not so much. #CANTWAIT

this would be really smart.

this would be really smart.

Central has a club hockey

Central has a club hockey team. Went to Nationals this year. Did not do too well.

I wouldn't say...

that Trey had a very nice season. Although his line is decent, he folded in big games and continued to turn the ball over/miss free throws. Something he has always struggled with. Not sure if he will get the development he could have at a different University. He saved his dad's job for a few years though that's for sure.

I believe that would be

I believe that would be because over the past few years Boston has spent just as much as the Yankees and really are finally competing with them in payroll

he had "relations" with

he had "relations" with summers girlfriend

get him out of detroit

get him out of detroit

wait the freep didn't report

wait the freep didn't report about this??

He'll probably get a better

He'll probably get a better chance to play in New York

not really understanding how

not really understanding how he was misused... would have been a much worse team without him at QB.

you guys make it seem that

you guys make it seem that Alaska and all these other teams would want to end ties and switch conferences. With many of the teams, there is a lot of history in the CCHA or WCHA and the school would not want to leave just because. Realistically, I don't see this happening unless they take in Miami, ND, BG, Western and Ferris.

I don't see why people are

I don't see why people are upset with Brandon. Do you really think he is just starting the search right now? I'm sure he already has a list and has begun contacting people. Brandon came in a difficult situation and has done a great job so far. Nobody is used to everything being on lock down, but that's exactly what he has done. Why is that a bad thing? It's more important to get the right guy in, which he pledges to do, than this years recruiting class (most of the recruits said they would stay even if RichRod was fired).

It's going to be a tough couple years, but I have full confidence in Brandon. This is what he was brought in for and he certainly is running the Athletic Department as a business.

EDIT: regardless of who the coach is I think it is very important that the fanbase supports him, unlike with RichRod.

I have no idea.

I have no idea.

IMO, Ezeh sucks. Glad to

IMO, Ezeh sucks. Glad to finally see Demens starting. That right there is already a huge upgrade. Moundros does not play so I don't seem him being too big of a loss except for a locker room presence. Cam has stepped in and shown improvement from the Safety position. I think he has great potential.Although Mouton has made plays, and missed plays, I think he will be the biggest loss out of that group. HOWEVA, the linebackers should improve, if not, then I think you have to look at the coaches.

I don't think I would put

I don't think I would put this on Chad. I think he's done pretty well. Yes, he's shown his young moments before, but how about the lack of a running game they've had? Ricky and Ronnie haven't been too good.

personally i think the 4 man

personally i think the 4 man front fits the team better right now. Roh, Martin, Van B, and...Banks? That fourth guy is the only problem, but i think everyone is aware that Roh is much better at rushing the passer from a down position than what they have had him doing for a majority of the season. If we do go to a 4 man front next year, I could see a lot of potential improvement on the defensive side of the ball.

magic number:1

too bad that octopus died.

too bad that octopus died. could have asked him?

yes.

but i think more of that is how young our guys are. undisciplined/lack of experience.

Penn State

Penn State is converting their club program to Division 1. Once this happens, it is almost guaranteed that they will become the newest member of the CCHA replacing Nebraska-Omaha.

vs stinks
versus is terrible anyways. i would much rather watch it on fsn. the cameras were either too far zoomed in or it seemed like the guy would take a sip of his coffee while the play was going on. I'm not sure where they get these camera men, but I'm glad I don't have to watch that channel tonight and hopefully next one, too.
ouch

ouch

Regains eligibility somehow. Regains eligibility somehow. Withdraws name from draft. One more year at Blue.
i understand.. but as a 6th or 7th rounder... low risk high upside? get him with the right people? I think he could be one of those guys that just really needs a mentor and someone to look up to. Plus if he slacks off or anything you can just cut him since you didn't waste too much on him. The Lions do have a few 7th round picks I believe...
I think it's more ridiculous I think it's more ridiculous that they said Syracuse's Mike Williams wouldn't get drafted... I always thought of him as a productive football player who needed somebody to throw him the ball.
