Since today is draft day, I was wondering what team you'd like BG to play for.
I really don't having a rooting interest in the NFL because the lions suck. So I'd really like him to go to the Dolphins(A bunch of Michigan players) or the Steelers(Woodley). I think he has it the best for all draftees, he is really good but not goood enough to be picked by a horrile team, he is the type of player that will be picked by good team that has a shot next year. Good luck to you in the NFL BG
What team would you like to see Brandon Graham play for?
Since today is draft day, I was wondering what team you'd like BG to play for.
2. St. Louis (at #1)
3. Miami aka UofM South
But given that St. Louis is somewhat unlikely to take him at #1, they're probably out.
I'd LOVE him in Honolulu Blue, but that seems to be a long shot as well. The Lions would have to trade up from the second round, which is unlikely if they draft another D Lineman at #2. Or they could trade down again from the #2 pick, but it's hard to see a team being willing to give up enough to move up 10 spots and pay the kind of money demanded at that spot.
With that, I'm hoping he ends up in Miami... and I think #12 is about the perfect spot to grab him.
I'm confused, I root for the dolphins, but their roster currently shows two UofM players, Chad and Jake. The Jets also have two Michigan players. The Cardinals have more.
Yeah, but Steven Ross owns the Dolphins. That's the trump card.
You all better root for the Mets then! :)
The Big Tuna is just getting his cards in order. He's going to draft BG at 12 overall. Soon Mike hart will join as a FA, followed by Stevie Breaston and Braylon, Steve Hutchinson will then feel compelled to join and Bray will follow to back up Henny, who will be the god of the south by then.
Breaston and Braylon in Miami might make Brandon Marshall's head explode.
ETA: Miami especially makes sense for BG now that Jason Taylor left.
EDIT: Donovan Warren will be drafted in the 4th round to Miami as well. Maybe the Dolphins can get some winged helmets as well.
I'd love for him to don the winged helmet one more year and get a chance to beat OSU and win a bowl game
other than that ... well, I just hope he lands somewhere that allows his to reach his maximum potential. May he follow in Woodley's footsteps quickly reach a pro-bowl
JETS: Need that pass rush.
Jets or Dolphins. Those are my picks.
MIAMI DOLPHINS NUMBER ONE
GO GO GO GO GO
Is that Tiger Woods there?
i am right with you. miami and pittsburgh.
i would just love to watch woodley and graham taking turns flattening backfields. bonus: it's easier to root for pittsbrugh with holmes gone and potentially big ben's hijinx ending there.
The Patriots. He could join up with Brady and their defense can definitely use him.
3. Any team that gets a lot of TV coverage in central Texas (except the Cowboys, screw those guys)
I guess I don't really care I just look forward to him dominating on Sundays.
Regains eligibility somehow. Withdraws name from draft. One more year at Blue.
Wait... what? That's not possible, you say?
Aw, dang it!
My team up and coming, good defense on the verge of being a great one. He would fit perfectly.
He'd be pretty good paired with Justin Smith
they call themselves the Wolverines.
with which he can win multiple super bowl rings. one of the best players to ever don the maize and blue needs more wins in his career than what he got here...
I'd love to see him play for the Jets as an OLB. Rex Ryan would turn him into a sack machine
I seem to recall the phrase "sack master" getting thrown around last season, too. Hehe
linked elsewhere on the blog oddly quoting Pat-rival Jet David Harris touting BG. Pats have interviewed him, along with Zoltan. Can't imagine they could go with a full-UM LB corps (Pierre Woods and Shawn Crable already there, but Crable's been on IR almost since he got there), but if Zoltan goes too... and then there's that QB... Do you think it's Brady that's whispering in coach's ear about all these M guys?
Both NYC teams (or NJ, if you're going by stadium) have looked at him, and then I could watch him every week. I'm already paying attention to Miami and the Cards because of their high maize quotient. But if it helps the home-state Lions...
Yeah, I'm on the corny train. Wherever he can play well and be happy. He deserves it.
Ravens... definitely not the Steelers.
Thank god there is another Baltimore fan around here, this makes two of us. I would hate to see him with the Steelers- my head just associates Ohio State and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the way they have a rivalry with my primary team yet my team almost always gets crushed. The "blue collar" arrogance of the fan bases are the same, the way they play (pre-Pryor), they are way too similar in my mind. I hate watching Woodley play for them and succeed.
The Ravens could use a pass rusher to replace Trevor Pryce, he would join a team with a proven track record of defensive success, and defensive playmakers, not offensive, are the stars in the city of Baltimore. Brandon Graham would be a star in Baltimore in a way he wouldn't be in any other market.
If not there, then I wouldn't mind him joining the Dolphins with Chad and Jake. But not the Steelers...
Was just resigned for another year at Baltimore. Do you think he'll get playing time this year? Would he and Brandon be vying for the same position?
Sadly, I think they value him as a special teamer (he is apparently really good there) but I haven't heard his name thrown about as a potential starter. He definitely wouldn't block Brandon Graham. When he was drafted I hoped he would take a starting job, but unfortunately it doesn't look like that's in the cards.
Last season they dealt him to the Patriots for a while until the Pats cut him and he came back to Baltimore.
Go Pack Go!
BG and Sir Charles on the same defense? scary...
That would be scary! Graham, Hawk and Woodson good God almighty that would be a horrifying defense! I'd love to see him in Green Bay.
From Green Bay and a huge Packer fan so I would love to see him in the green and gold opposite Clay Mathews.
PS. I would hardly call AJ Hawk horrifying...IMO he hasn't lived up to his #5 pick status.
wish we could trade him, but no team would want to pick up his contract...BG and Matthews would create a FIERCE pass rush...yes, FIERCE...
The only thing horrifying about AJ Hawk is his hair !!!!!!!!
Hawk is slow.
That would give the Pack one hell of a pass rush.
"What team would you like to see Brandon Graham play for?"
I'll have to do the really stupid thing I always bag people on and pick a second favorite team... Michigan South.
I'm a Dolphin fan...no brainer for me.
1. Giants (unlikely, but they are the team I root for most in the pros)
2. Miama (Mich South)
3. Arizona - good concentration of Michigan players
4. Not Cleveland or Cincy, as he should not have to endure the indignity of living in Ohio
Dick LaBeau and the Stillers
1.Lions add him with suh=offensive cordinator nightmares
2.Dolphins he can join Long, and Henne plus he can become southern version of Woodly
3.Ravens the next defensive superstar on that defense
if there's any way possible. Please...
I would love to see BG go to my Pats and be the OLB beast they have needed coming off the edge the last year or two.
I'm with you. He would shine there. Good coach/scheme for a smart, character player. And I would get my Michigan kicks watching both sides of the ball.
I would love to see him head to the ATL as we need a pass rusher and they are my favorite team. If not them then Miami so that they can be my new second favorite team(vaulting the Lions)
Join up with Jason Avant & Marlin Jackson in Philly. They would most likely have to trade up to get him but that would be sick if he was an Eagle. Him and Trent Cole on the edges...Beasts!
They already stole half of Charles Woodson's career.
I would like to BG go somewhere where his career will blossom...
Michael Smith is reporting the Broncos at 11 are down to Maurkice Pouncey or Brandon Graham as their choices. As a Chiefs fan, this makes me sad panda.
except for the fact that McDaniel is very likely a complete knucklehead.
I only really care that he doesn't go to the Raiders or the Lions. Those places are where careers go to die.
People here in NE keep complaining about lack of pass rush. The Pats fans I've chatted with here at work seem pretty exited about the possibility of drafting him. That wouldn't be too bad for him. I'd really just like to see him succeed wherever he goes but would be even more OK if he went to Miami or Arizona.
