In Night of the Living Dead ALL the dead came back to life. So this is indeed a classic story line. Although zombies bite, that is not how it is spread. |

My number one "what might have been". National Championship in 2006 if he hadn't gotten injured? |

I also love the GG&S reference. These are the things that truly separate and distinguish this blog.

The only thing in football better than ND losing is UM winning. God, Kelly comes across badly during a loss and Holtz in the studio after the game looked like he had been hit by a truck. Fun game for ND unfans like me.

Ann Arbor-Gainesville 1040 miles Tuscon-Gainesville 1917 miles Central/South Florida would be similary different. Pensacola cuts the margin to only 600 miles. Not that this changes your central point. |

He made the call to block the punt. |

I'd love to see it all fall in place. Beat Texas for the MNC! Odds? |

, I advise an early, courteous email explaining your absence, and your willingness to go the extra mile to get caught up. For most profs that should do the trick. Of course some profs might not give a damn about football, or might even be hostile to the idea of accommodating a football game. There is very little recourse in that unfortunate situation--it is highly unlikely that the institution steps in. Again, an early courteous email will uncover that situation too. Also consider that any hint of entitlement might turn off even sympathetic profs. The "email the professor and tell them to deal with it" comment above, while maybe in jest, is terrible prof-management advice. Let them know you value the academics first. And as a last straw, you could always try bribing them. Everyone bribes people ;) |
