Yes, they are related.
For biological relationships between living things on this planet, the only question is how closely related.
Me and Harbaugh? Related.
You and Tom Brady or Giselle? Related.
Me and a butterfly or oak tree? Related, more distantly.
Always a matter of degree.

When I was growing up my old man used to characterize football programs by top position group.
USC: Running backs
UM: Offensive Line
I remember Michigan just steamrolling teams, especially in th 4th quarter when things got ridiculous. Selective memory and all, but it is really odd to think how long it has been since OL has been a strength instead of worry.
It was one of my great hopes with the Harbaugh hire that we could do what his Stanford teams did. It may take a while...

Agreed on Athens. My wife is from there and I visit often. It is a great college town and great gameday scene. There does not need to be funny stuff for recruits to choose UGA over UM.
On a related note, I would love to see a home and home between the two schools.

Hard to believe there are so many ignoramuses on this site. Instead of mis-quoting Newsweek from the 1970s, why don't you go read an actual science journal?
The models are matching the data with alarming precision. In fact when the models are wrong they are too conservative---the rate of change is greater than feared.
And what is this absolute hooey that scientists are making this up? For what purpose? Careers would be made disproving ACG as well, but the data is clear. Simply unbelievable how dumb and ignorant so many people are--swallowing the big oil propaganda hook, line and sinker.

What a tragedy. Both for the young man and for the team.
I firmly believe we would have won it all in 2006 with him on the offense.

The man is either a Zen sage,
or a borderline idiot.
So glad he was never coach here.

I predict that Michigan wins the popular score, but through an archaic system designed to thwart popular will, somehow Indiana takes the prize. The sports press will then try to tell us it is all OK. 12-11 good guys.

Yes, you got negged by the ugly underbelly of UM football fans.
The leaders and the best? Not them.

Agree the refereeing sucked, and that this is not new.
Questions, maybe for a future entry (not by me...)
How much do BIG refs get paid? Is this higher/lower than other Power5 conferences?
How much training, continuing education is required of them? Again, is the BIG on par with other conferences?
Could we expect better refereeing with better training/pay? Or is this just the nature of the game?

Wrong thread... yeesh

I will trot it out next time I am in Bloomington.

I remember thinking about this when UM hit previous milestones (800 and 900) and wondering (hoping?) if I would still be alive to see 1000, I still have a shot!

Being neither a Catholic nor a convict, I guess I should have been and should be neutral.
However, to update the phrase, Fuck Notre Dame!

I love how that play unfolded and cannot wait to see what new wrinkles emerge.
I cannot escape the thought that this is all a mindfuck to unlease something awesome during The Game.
|17 weeks 5 days ago||I'm with you||
Fun for us and mindfuck for the opponent.

Looking forward to the UFR of that, but I think I just read it.
The intentional unintentional block is what it was then. Well designed.

Win with respect lead to many losses with angst.

This is why I do not do UFR...
Honest question--all that action was near the LOS. You cannot block dudes there without it being pass interference? The ball was not in the air.
|17 weeks 5 days ago||Train play||
Wheatley also seemed to have the key block that freed up Butt on that play. One TE blocking for the other. Love it.
Are the old dudes doing the Train?
|17 weeks 5 days ago||Agreed||
I guess we take it for granted, but there is a reason why it's an obsession for many of us.

15 rushing attempts, 25 yards, 8TDs.
That is insane.
