Mos definitely in my top 10.  Saw it for the first time in Angell Hall iirc. Costa Gavras was there and did a Q&A after. Often recommend it to people as the best movie they've never heard of.

We shall see.  Bell was the…

We shall see.  Bell was the only guy we could count on to get open and make plays on a consistent basis and, especially, on third down.  We have some talent still but we don't have THAT guy on the roster now.  Hopefully, some of the other guys step up but we were already thin at the position.  No way to sugarcoat the fact that losing Bell does serious damage to our passing game.

If he were a couple inches…

If he were a couple inches taller he'd probably be headed to the draft.  And, yes he switched to off guard last year.  We could start a pair of switchable combo guards with him and Brooks.

The thing I'll always…

The thing I'll always remember about The Judge is Scott Skiles abusing him in 86.  Joubert had publically guaranteed a win.  At the tipoff Skiles went over to Joubert and said "show me what you got fat boy" and then proceeded to drop 33 on him while continuing to taunt him all game long (c'mon fat boy.  you need to lose 20 pounds to guard me fat boy").  It was gruesome as a Michigan fan but epic.

So.... the survey doesn't…

So.... the survey doesn't show any results?  What was the point?

It's long past time.  Gotta…

It's long past time.  Gotta think it'll happen soon.  Probably would have happened this year if not for COVID.  Can't put up the banners with no crowd.

I very seriously doubt Garza…

I very seriously doubt Garza's game will play in the league.  No place anymore for an unathletic big who can't guard anybody.  Don't think he'd get away with the elbows either.  HD exposed him for what he is.

While I agree we should be…

While I agree we should be more competitive it's just not true that we have the ability to be the BEST in college football.  The two-team, now four-team playoff systems have created two tiers:  the ones who get there regularly and everybody else.  Since 2009 the following teams have won an NC:

Alabama (6 times)

Clemson (2 times)

OSU, LSU, FSU (once each)

If you look at recent history, Bama and Clemson have won 5 of the last 6 NCs, with the only exception being LSU winning with OSU transfer Burrow at QB.  If your only legit chance to win a ring is to go to one of two schools that tilts the playing field dramatically.  Add in a general disregard for academics and, yes, the bagmen and it's just not realistic to think we're somehow going to usurp Bama.

Hopefully, someday they will expand the playoffs but I think the die is set already.  Not an excuse for Harbaugh.  We should be better, should have made the playoffs once or twice.  But the idea that we can compete year in, year out with Bama or Clemson is just not gonna happen.  And considering what it would likely take get there, I'm ok with that.  Beating OSU on the other hand....

Yes, saying something stupid…

Yes, saying something stupid or offensive in public can have consequences.  Ask anyone.

Every now and then a player…

Every now and then a player like this can find himself on a new team.  The hit rate isn't high but Weaver has a history of finding some gems that way.  Josh Jackson is a good example this year.  For every Jackson there's are several Musa's but it's a pretty smart strategy for a team like the Pistons.

OK, boomer.  We'll get off…

OK, boomer.  We'll get off your lawn.

We're going to need a two…

We're going to need a two-guard next year.  Does anyone want to rely on Nunez?

Franz hasn't shot the 3 well…

Franz hasn't shot the 3 well but he's been pretty good otherwise.  He's shooting 52% overall which is crazy good for a wing, despite being 1-9 from 3.  Probably our best rebounder (tied w/ Livers for team lead with fewer minutes).  Once he starts hitting threes he'll be a force.

We saw McCaffrey and Milton…

We saw McCaffrey and Milton playing some mop-up series.  Both looked good but neither had been a starter.  You could see why they liked Milton in the Minny game.  After that, the line, which already lost 4 of 5 to the pros, lost two more tackles and then the run game and protection went to sh*t, compounded further by an epidemic of drops, penalties, etc. Our defense got exposed putting more pressure on the offense as Milton was losing confidence and it spiraled.  McNamara deserves to start but too soon to write off Milton entirely.

At the time McCaffrey left…

At the time McCaffrey left the program the word was that he'd fallen behind both Milton and McNamara.  Seems like that wasn't entirely happy talk.  Milton may well transfer if McNamara continues to look great, esp with McCarthy coming in.  Or he could win the job back if McNamara regresses as Milton did.  Or McNamara could get hurt.  In any event, QBs transfer these days when they don't see a path to starting.  Happens everywhere.  The more important issue is how and why we recruited a McCaffrey, a McNamara and a McCarthy at QB in rapid succession.

That seems to be what people…

That seems to be what people are missing.  There are 3 elite teams and then a huge gap to the next tier.  We should be more solidly in that tier and it's beyond frustrating that we can't get that done.  But it is simply not realistic to expect us to join the top 3.  And even if it were possible I'm not that interested in us doing the things we'd need to do to get there.  That said, we can and should be better than this.

Looked like he was turning…

Looked like he was turning to get both feet down and didn't realize exactly where he was and that he could have fallen back into the end zone.  Perhaps the most Lions loss ever.  It's a competitive top 5 but this has to be near the top.

They castigated their PE overlords for meddling in editorial decisions and favoring clickbait that devalued the brand and drove away their most loyal readers.  PE and journalism don't mix.  Google Alden Capital if you're curious.  Here's just one story of many that layout the particulars:

FWIW, Christopher and Todd weren't going to be here past next year either so nothing has changed on that front.

it's a kick in the balls but don't take it out on the kid.  he's a one and done and there may not even be a season.  why not join his brother in the desert?  i don't buy that he went back on any promise.  It sounded like juwan and staff legit didn't know for sure yesterday.  but even if he did, he's perfectly entitled to change his mind.  he can change it again until he signs.  he doesn't owe us jack.  instead, hate on a system that forces him and others to give up millions to pretend to be a student-athlete for a year.

The Known Unknown (or, as someone already suggested, any Errol Morris), 13th, No End in Sight and Inside Job (Iraq war and financial collapse respectively), Wild Wild Country, American Factory.  Icarus is an amazing accident turned masterpiece.  But I'm not ashamed to admit that the most compelling doc I've seen recently on Netflix is 'Cheer', a series about a jr. college competitive cheer squad.  Don't judge.

YTTV all day.  Best…

YTTV all day.  Best interface.  Best price.  Best DVR.  Have 1G internet (really about 850M), Netflix, Hulu, HBO and Showtime.  Still about 40% less than I was paying for my FIOS bundle (once you add in fees, taxes, surchages, equipment, and still more fees).  Way better experience, way faster internet for way less money.  Cut the cord a couple years ago and never looked back.

Here's a fact for you.  In 2017 we were 8th in the conference and on the wrong side of the bubble and ended up in the sweet 16 (and a hard-luck miss from Walton away from the elite 8) and in the finals the next year.  Yes, right, that was under Beilein.  I'm sure you weren't one of the naysayers back then. /s

It's true that JH has "zero history of being able to rally the troops".  Of course, it's equally true that he has zero history of not being able to rally the troops.  You may turn out right in the end but stop trying to dress up your emotion as logic.  And stop getting butthurt when people call you out for it.

It's actually 20K.  20,789 to be exact.  And, no, it doesn't make any sense.

Bingo.  It's going to be an …

Bingo.  It's going to be an "American Luxury" brand, more Lincoln than Cadillac.  It'll be americanized versions of Peugeot/DS sedans, XUVs and SUVs.  Way cheaper than launching Peugeot in the US which was the plan pre-merger.  Dodge will likely see it's lineup beefed up with some Citreon/Opel metal.  It will be the value brand with a performance halo.  The PSA CEO loves established brands and has shown he knows how to fix them (see Opel).

Outside of the US he needs to fix Fiat (again, see Opel), catch up in autonomous (I'm predicting they'll join the Daimler-BMW JV) and get things right in China (not going to be easy).  Should be interesting to watch.

There is plenty to criticize…

There is plenty to criticize about Big Pharma.  But you do realize that there's very little profit in vaccines, right?  If this were some Big Phama plot to maximize profits there would be no vaccines and lots more boner pills because that's where the money is.

So your standard for truth is "publicly available"?  Explains a lot.  So much batshit insane stuff is publicly available.  The Protocols of Zion is publicly available.  QAnon/Pizzagte etc. are publicly available.  Flat earth is publicly available.  I could go on and on.  You really need to stop believing whatever insanity you happen to read on the internet.  No hard feelings if your head is up your ass.

He's a generational player. …

He's a generational player.  We've never had an American that was a legit piece on a top tier club in the top tier league.  The program is still a mess but with guys like him, Adams, Sargent, and kids like Reyna and Leyva there may be hope.  We just suffered a lost generation so we're not in a great place right now which is exacerbated by dumpster fire quality leadership.  The biggest risk is that we lose the best young dual nationals like Dest, Alvarez, Llanez, Bello, De la Fuente, etc.  If Dest bails for the Dutch next month it will not be a good sign.  But either way, Pulisic is a game-changer for the US.

The Hallahan penalty was…

The Hallahan penalty was close but they got it right.  The handball at the end was 100% obvious and it's crazy it wasn't called.  ND got screwed.  They went nuts.  The ref gives a red! card.  It was glorious.  FWIW, we seem to be a much more dangerous team with Hallahan out there.  If he gets fully back in form we just might make a little noise.
