So, France imploding, Germany, Brazil, and Argentina playing out of their minds, 2 USA comebacks, S Korea playing well, and some of the most amazing goals I've ever seen don't hold your interest?
....are intrinsic to the sport. Would you want someone calling a baseballpitch a "bowl?" No, you wouldn't. Just like a football helmet is a "helmet" and not headgear.
Get over it.
Have you heard that there might be a little oil in the gulf?
..you people doubt that man's support and effort for the University of Michigan, you really have some issues.
Go googlestalk some 16 year old recruits.
.. to the US soldiers fighting abroad. I know for a fact that our troops do that butt dance after EVERY insurgent they kill. Jimmy Clausen is a fine 'murican.
The three and outs and the turnovers didn't help the D at all. There were lapses, without a doubt; but if you look at the overall picture, and not one long TD run at the end, you SHOULD be moderately pleased with the defense.
.... highlights have you seen of FLoyd 10 yards past a DB, reeling in 70 yard bombs? More than 5, I assure you. Boo Boo kept Floyd in front of him, for the most part, and didn't give up a home run. He didn't have a great game, but I'm fine with it. He did well with the pressure the Dline was getting.
18.
Amani Toomer. It even has block M's on the shoulders.
I own 5 or 6: 100th anniv OSU - UM #2(I believe that was Whitley at the time), An A train #32, A T Rex # 16, a J Irons #37, and an old, old #12 that Ricky Powers wore.
I wore that jersey every time UM played during the 97 NC year. This was no small feat; I was in the army and deployed for some of the games. I had to wear the jersey under my T shirt and BDUs.
Man, I miss Nike.
.. don't see the problem in rooting for one of the big 4. Unless, of course, it's Man U, Arse, or Chelsea.
You could say the same for La Liga, Bundesliga, and Serie A. There are plenty of teams in mid table (Everton, Westham, Spurs, Villa, Fulham) that can challenge the big boys. I often find myself rooting for teams to pull "the great escape." Relegation is a very real, palpable thing; ask Newcastle fans about it.
You've listed scads of ifs here. If, if, if.
Threet played hard, made no excuses, and genuinely tried. He didn't fit into the scheme at UM, so he left. He didn't call out any coaches, the school, or the fanbase. Even now, he didn't take any shots when he could have.
And all you want to do is say "if."
Michigan fans should support Threet in his decision. If he was so horrible, you shouldn't be upset that he left. Threet has my respect and best wishes.
Why complain about the 2006 draft? The 2007 draft? The 2008 draft?
Exactly. One Good draft can turn the corner for a frachise. If you choose turds three years in a row, your franchise will suffer, as proven by the Detroit Lions.
And with the QB's coming out next year, plus the free agent QB's, the QB need could be addressed with an Oline and defense on the upswing. Both of those(along with a running game) are a rookie QB's best friend.
.....because the spread that Bradford and McCoy run are the same as Brennan and Couch ran.
And, no QB in the NFL ever runs a form of the spread in certain situations. Not Manning(P), Brees, or Rivers.
That makes sense.
The spread, in some form, has become more prevalent in the past 5-10 years, and I propose that the NFL will follow trends and institute more spread offenses in the future.
.. Todd Collins a "stud?" Elvis Grbac? Erick Ainge? Matt Flynn? Stocco? Mike McQueary? Reggie Ball? Ron Pawlus? Chris Simms? etc, etc, etc
The answer you're looking for is no. The point being: you can go to another school with a system that is tailored to what your play style is and contribute.
I don't think Threet will win the Heisman, but he has desire, courage, and skill. Just because the TEAM(not just him) played poorly last year, doesn't mean that Steven Threet is garbage. It means you're bitter about UM having a bad season, and he's the easiest to blame. Quite sad, really.
(To the tune of Where the Streets have no name.)
He can't run
I want to hide
He can't option the ball
To the outside
I want him to pitch out
And win one damn game
Where Steve Threet is to blame
I'm glad he'll feel sunlight on his face
Happy he disappeared without a trace
I want to remove him from my brain
Where Steve Threet is to blame
Where Steve Threet is to blame
Where Steve Threet is to blame
We're still building
And Tate is great, Tate is great
And when I go bowling
I go there with you...
(You people need to get a clue)
The kid played his ass off. Get over it.
Way to support a kid that stayed even after the coach that brought him to AA left, learned a completely new offense, played hurt, and left respectfully when it didn't work out. He did everything that could have been asked of him, and more, yet you still want to bag on him.
I wish him luck at ASU. Eat some sushi at Ra in Tempe on me, Steve. You earned it, buddy.

If you're bagging on Ray Jay that hard, don't ever, EVER go to Jacksonville.
LOL, Tampa.
See you there.
I'll be in Lot A with my GF and kids. I'll have a cooler full of beer and some Florida hospitality for any and all UM fans.

photographic evidence, I'm pretty sure that you don't wear a t-shirt.
You still rule, dude.
with Kelvin Grady's success, there's only one answer:
... even read what you type?
Depth isn't important when the only people behind the starters are converted RBs and a Kovacs?
WOW.
.... will see significant playing time.
played in a system not suited for him. He played hurt. He never bitched. He transferred and didn't stir shit up.
Good luck to that guy.

sandiego, you rule, dude.
.....if you took off that sweater.
I laughed, I cried; this profile became a part of me.

You must be a better soccer fan than I am.
Wait, what?

I'm guessing your teams didn't win too many matches.
