Given that Jim Harbaugh is the closest thing to a modern Bo, and perhaps closest in kind to the old school Michigan offense that I and many faithful yearn the return to, take note that Stanford is now averaging 40.0 pts/game, which is now MORE than our new era spread, of 36.6 pts/game.
Perhaps the numbers are skewed because Stanford's defense has been far superior and gives more time for the offense on the field. Or, that our defense has been so bad that opponents have scored so quickly and given our spread offense extra time and opportunities. Or vice versa, I do not know.
Either way, somebody please chime in here and try to give the implications of both defenses and how it affects the numbers above.
