I'm not sure if you can (pretty sure its a no) and i would almost never suggest giving up in a game but they might as well just to save their bullpen for tonight
|1 year 34 weeks ago||I found the game slightly disheartening||
I know it is April and the season just started so you can't really judge anything at this point. I mean who realistically thinks Baltimore will win the AL east. I have and still believe the Tigers and Texas are on a collision course for the ALCS again and the season should be treated as preparing for that matchup. Illitch knows it which is why he shelled out big for Fielder who so far has been a great addition and I couldn't be more pleased with his transition from the NL to AL (unlike Adam Dunn who still is struggling).
However, I would have hoped they would have put up a better effort in their first game against the team that outsted them from the run last year. First off, they need to ship Schlereth off to Siberia, he has no business pitching in the big leagues and maybe not even AAA. Almost every time they bring the guy in he gives up runs, its pretty pathetic. I'm sorry at 5-1 in the 7th with 3 more at bats to go this team is far from out especially when 2 of their runs came from a routine douple play error. The tigers production in the last 3 innings has been through the roof. The fact is Leyland decided that the game was a throw away which as a fan is disheartening. Either that or he just thinks the guy needs more reps in the big leagues to grow but every time he comes out of the bull pen my heart knows the game is over.
I believe the tigers are the 2nd best team in the AL, but leaps and bounds behind Texas. Texas' batting lineup is pretty unstoppable even compared to ours or a Pujols driven team and there is little chance we could beat them in a series off of production alone. Their focus needs to be out pitching Texas which is going to be pretty tough. For as good as Darvish looked last night again us, he is only going to get better. In his first three starts alone his improvement has been amazing and once he works out the walks I think he will be an ace in the AL. I believe this team can beat anybody but Texas at this point, which is pretty amazing of itself. Our best bet is to make sure Verlander and Fister are ready for the playoffs and pray the lineup comes around that they both get to pitch 2 each in a series against who I presume will be Texas and mow em down.
It would be great to get a more solid 2nd baseman who can actually hit but I don't see much the Tigers can trade away without compromising crucial pieces of their current lineup and I don't want to see them trade away minor league upcoming studs. I believe in this team and definitely feel like if there was any year to follow the Tigers it would be this year. Hopefully Porcello can impress tonight because his growth this offseason looks like it could pay off big.
|1 year 37 weeks ago||Thank you||
I had seen another rule 9 that said something about it being the foot touching the ground but this clears it up for me. Although he was called for a violation I'm completely fine with that play in that situation. I mean comeon, OSU isn't going to outrebound Kansas on that play anyways, they were being pawned on the boards. As much as I despise Aaron Craft, it was pretty intuitive actually, he just jumped the gun. The right team won tonight, Sullinger gave up late and just looked like he was pouting for the last 5 minutes of the game. Again thanks for the info, much appreciated.

What's the actual rule on lane violations by the shooter? I know that you can't step over the line until the ball hits the rim. However, the few times I have run it slow motion, he was moving across the line but his foot didn't actually step past the line until it had in fact hit the rim. Is it illegal for your body to cross the line before it hits the rim or is it when you make contact with the floor or line? Just looking for some clarification on the actual rule

It could not have been first rounders seeing as the Saints already traded their 1st round pick this year to New England otherwise it probably would have been. Hopefully the Saints man up and offer Brees a release if he wants it
|1 year 44 weeks ago||My take||
Having gone last year. Tickets are very hard to come by the day of. Most likely you will have to scalp single day tickets as they will be sold out by the time you get there. My suggestion is buy before you go for the sessions you want, or if you want to see it all regardless than buy the all session pass. Worst case if you buy an all session pass and Michigan loses then you can scalp the ticket for the remaining games if you aren't interested.
If you are a student and don't mind sitting in the upper bowl here's a link to student tickets. They are by far the best deal and are $50 ($60 with fees) for the entire tournament. You have to be a student though and show your mcard at will call to get the ticket.

Anybody know what's up with Smot's hands? Obviously he has been terrible shooting the ball but I noticed in person against NW that his hands were very red and today they looked purple on tv. Anybody know whats up with this?
|1 year 48 weeks ago||Smotrycz's hands?||
What is wrong with Smotrycz's hands? His hands this game and last are like purple and look swollen? Has this been discussed yet and does anybody know what is up with this?
|2 years 20 weeks ago||From what I've read||
It is best to buy them as soon as possible. By purchasing the tickets directly you are guarenteed the option of purchasing a ticket again next year and I assume it will continue if you continue to purchase a ticket every year. The SEC championship game is insane, they have the same type of deal with being able to repurchase and I read somewhere that only about 200 new tickets are released each year. Not sure if the Big ten championship game will catch the same fire but if it does tickets will be extremely hard to come by. Average price of a ticket last year on Stubhub for the SEC championship game was around $450, some dude bought a suite off ebay for $22,500. Average price for the BXII was around $125 from what I read but gradually increased because of the hype of the game. My suggestion is buy them from ticketmaster, lock yourself in and buy every year. A type of game like this seems like a no brainer for reselling and then if Michigan does make it you have a ticket at face value.

I just lol'd
|2 years 39 weeks ago||I understand why||
people jumped off the national championship bandwagon with BYU but playing an 11 seed and not favored? They handled Wofford pretty well and still have Jimmer who is still playing outrageous most every game
|2 years 39 weeks ago||Honestly||
I thought 5 games was what he deserved the first time I saw what he had done. He should pay for his actions at least the same amount as the players. Granted he is an adult and the coach he may deserve more but at least they are getting closer. All a pub stunt I think though. OSU slaps him on the wrist knowing public backlash will be bad, he punishes himself more and asks the AD to allow him to take 5 games instead of 2. It was all planned, but I think a 5 game suspension is fair.

BetUS is my site of choice but they do have some weird quirks which I find ridiculous.
If you take deposit bonuses you have to complete a rollover to be able to cash out. See info here https://www.betus.com/about-us/member-benefits.aspx which means that if you deposit $100 you will get a bonus of I think $10 in free play. That sounds great right? Wrong! In order to be able to get a release to cash out you must have a 3-time rollover meaning you will have to wager $300 before your account is cleared of a bonus hold. What's worse is if you bet on a straight line game (ie odds of team A winning are -200 and team B winning are +150) you only get the lower of the amount bet and amount won. This would mean if I bet $100 on this game on team A and won I would receive $50, and the amount counted towards my rollover bonus is only $50 (not the $100 I bet). My recommendation...don't take any bonuses when you deposit. It's a ploy to keep the money within the system as long as they can so you can lose it. Just forgo the $10 bet and bet your own money and have no restrictions.
There will be fees to cash out. So don't think if you deposit $100 and try to withdraw it the next day you will be getting $100 back but I'm sure that's standard on these sites.
That being said I made $500 the last time I played so it's well worth it if you know what you are doing and/or get lucky on a few big parlay bets like I did. My suggestion, bet $5 on Michigan to win the tournie at +25000. A $5 bet wins you $1250

I just BetUS.com its pretty legit. You will have to send a scan of your license and credit card you use to make deposits though. Also, I don't suggest getting any bonuses when you sign up as you can't cash out until you fulfill their requirements for the bonuses (but most sites are like that).
|2 years 41 weeks ago||If iowa wasn't terrible||
Then MSU would be getting destroyed by any decent team the way they are playing. Let's hope they play this poorly against us. Izzao getting T'd is just embarrassing for the team. That was clearly a block

Just so everybody knows the League ID is 113011
|2 years 41 weeks ago||Head to Head||
I think is best. It sucks when you lose 4-5-1 and just get a loss.
|2 years 42 weeks ago||Just saw that on ESPN||
nice work! +1
|2 years 42 weeks ago||Not released yet||
But they should move into the top 50. Minny was 42 and we were 53. I would think they would at least get a 3 move jump.
|2 years 42 weeks ago||1 and 1 and done||
I think beat MSU and 1 win in the BTT and we should be in. A win at MSU would most likely get us to a 4th or 5th seed in the BTT. Then if we win our first game it would most likely be against Illinois or MSU which would be considered a pretty decent win and show that we are indeed at the top of the conference besides the big 3. At that point we would be playing OSU and i don't think a loss to them would hurt us at all.
|2 years 42 weeks ago||Completely Agree||
but I think at least now we deserve to be on the bubble. I would have to imagine we are favored by a point or 2 going into the MSU game next weekend since its home and we beat them in Breslin.
|2 years 42 weeks ago||It's official ND lost||
Western beats ND 2-0 tonight which puts us in position to win the CCHA regular season championship as long as we don't blow a 4-0 lead :) happy day. Thank you KUHHHHNNNNN for the shutout against ND.
|2 years 42 weeks ago||2:40 left in the ND game||
2:40 left in the ND game
Western up 2-0. I like our odds of winning the CCHA regular season championship
|2 years 42 weeks ago||Watch the BTN||
Watching the BTN they are in love with our team. If it were up to them we could still win the Big Ten conference championship. For all the crap I give them about the "Butterfly" and their terrible announcing aka during a replay heard them call a dish to Stu a dish to Novak their love for us is pretty awesome
|2 years 43 weeks ago||As happy as I am||
that Michigan squeeked out the win WTF kind of defense was that at the end. Letting them shoot 2 wide open 3's like we just didn't want to foul. Reminds me of the OSU game last year when we got burned. But we won, so Go Blue!
|2 years 43 weeks ago||These refs suck||
These refs are terrible. Some of the calls against Michigan have been attrocious. Looks like Iowa is finally getting a bunch of cheap fouls too. Lay off your whistle and just let the kids play basketball. COMEON
|2 years 43 weeks ago||My Wrap Up||
Band was outstanding as usual.
The football team was surprisingly very very good. I was very impressed with the level of talent the team has outside of football. Taylor Lewan is a pretty funny guy.
Hockey team stuff...crossed the line a bit for me although i couldn't help but laugh at the tate stuff.
Hoke was awesome, he's the man. Schefter was kind of a dick but im sure a lot of it was just joking. He's a good guy otherwise he wouldn't have been there to support the cause.
