B1G Championship Ticket Thread---Michigan Fan Buy and Sell/Indy Info

Submitted by 1989 UM GRAD on November 29th, 2021 at 8:55 AM

[New edit 11/30] To all sellers: please edit in the word or reply  "S O L D"  once your transaction has been finalized...and my kudos to the many who have already done so.

A small bit of communication goes a long way!

To all buyers and sellers: please remember to remove your phone# and/or email address (if you wish to protect your privacy) once the purchase is consummated or fizzles away.

I'm still pumped up after Saturday's victory...as I'm sure you all are, too!

Got home from the game to an email from the Michigan Ticket Department re: tickets to the Championship game and logged right in to make my request.

Got an email earlier this morning to let me know my request was fulfilled at the $95 dollar level.  Tickets to be sent electronically later this week.

Check your email if you also made a request on Saturday.

Who is else is planning on going?  I'm still not 100% sure if I'm going...but wanted to make sure I had tickets.

Go Blue!

[ I'm editing the title since we have an 80+ post thread on the subject from yesterday, this will now be the place to exchange Indy info and buy/sell tickets for Saturday's ? game. -rob f ]

I'll modify the title since folks are already using the thread to search for tickets.

I too am looking, as we need at least 4 more---my party got turned down since we have just 180 priority points while another in our group with 300+ points got his four seats. If anyone can help me with tickets please let me know, thanks!

So was it an 11,000 allotment for the entire athletic department or just the students? I'm a student and got my ticket (max priority points) but almost none of my friends got one

Do you guys think the prices on the secondary market are going to go back down at all?  Seems like it's only gone up the last 36 hours.  It's quite a hefty amount for the cheapest (over $360 on Stubhub per a single ticket at the moment, if include fees)

My wife and I have had four tickets through Lucas Oil since the inception of the championship game. I am so filled with joy to finally be able to see our boys there after having to see my wife's Spartans there a couple times as well as so many Buckeye games. There's another Michigan fan in the same section who's been there since the start too. He's married to a Buckeye. Ready to give that man a high five.

I'm trying to determine how desperate I should be...Theoretically, could those receiving ticket allotments sell them after Thursday?  Update: just my luck..bit the bullet and paid a load for nose bleeds just in time for the prices to start dropping:(. Good luck everyone else!

My brother, dad, brother in-law and myself go to 1 away game a year. We were unable to go the past 2 years (Covid last year and many conflicts/issues this year). We are all free for Saturday. If anyone has 4 tickets they would like to sell at something less than 4 times face value. I would be a very grateful buyer.

Here's a question:

If Michigan beats Iowa, do we have any idea if they'll play in the Cotton Bowl or the Orange Bowl.

I live in Austin and would love to see them in the semis in Dallas. But I couldn't find anything on how they decide what bowl gets what teams in the semis. Is it random?

UPDATE: I think I found the answer. It appears the top seed gets to choose which bowl game they want (I actually never knew this) to avoid a road environment. If this is the case I would guess that Georgia or Alabama would choose the Orange Bowl and Michigan would play in Dallas in the semis.

I've never been to a bowl game where Michigan felt like a home team.  I've been to a bunch - Rose 1983, Rose 1989, Gator 1991, Outback 2003, Outback 2013, Orange 2016, Outback 2018 and Citrus 2020.  The SEC schools will always outdraw us in the southeast and the Pac 12 in the Rose.

A match against Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl would give us the best chance to have the crowd advantage.

It would really depend on if Oklahoma State makes it at #4 and/or if Georgia prefers to play indoors on turf or outdoors on real grass.

None of the teams in contention really have much of a travel advantage outside of Oklahoma State going to Dallas. Even Athens to Miami is over 10 hours so not that different than Athens to Dallas at 12.5.

Should prolly make this thread a sticky on the board for the week like the snowflakes just to keep it simple.

I'll see you all at the game! section 116 and hopefully some of you at O'Reilly's Irish Pub (13 min walk from the stadium)

If anyone has links to cheap hotel rooms in Indy, post them here. Apparently OSU fans who purchased hotel rooms prior to this weekend are hoarding the rooms and biting the bullet so Michigan fans can't get them

I went to the Wisconsin vs OSU 59-0 debacle with my buddies, all OSU fans who already had tickets. Killroys was too packed so my other buddy and I got tickets at the Gate and went to the game, $60 a piece, we were pretty high up but could still see everything just fine.

Sure it will be different since it's both teams first time though.

Just a little perspective I thought I could give you.
