I was at Pat's earlier tonight along with what seemed like every other Michigan fan in New Orleans. You couldn't walk two feet without running into somebody that you knew. |

How do we know that the announcement is actually happening? I'd expect a credible news source (TomVH, Rothstein, Brian, etc.) to say something about it, but the only people talking about it are on forums like this one and we're hardly a credible source. |

This is being overblown. The Fiesta Bowl rep was there because he's also the Insight Bowl rep. Men from all of the top B1G bowls were there yesterday, excepting the Rose Bowl. |

Look, I don't know Mark Madden's track record with things like this but this really sounds like irresponsible journalism to me. I'm not saying that it can't be true, but there's a reason why real media outlets (Brian included) don't publicize rumors, even with disclaimers included. Publishing sensational rumors without sourcing or evidence is flat-out dangerous and it disgusts me that they're throwing out these allegations for the public to eat up while still trying to cover their asses in case they're wrong Journalism 101: if you're not confident enough in your sources or evidence to publish it without the "rumor" disclaimer, don't publish it in the first place. Every outlet latching onto this rumor is being wildly irresponsible. |

Looks good, and I'm still there under the "Shop" tab so it's all good. The nav bar on the bottom is a tragedy, though. |

I'm surprised that nobody has recommended Bar Louie per Brian's recommendation. Ashley's is a great location and the best beer selection in town, but nobody will ever confuse them for a sports bar. Bar Louie is probably second to Ashley's when it comes to beer selection away from Main Street, and they have a much better TV situation (and better food).
It kind of sucks that it's a chain, but I definitely think that Bar Louie is the place you want to go. |
