the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Spring Rosters Hooray!
The Spring Rosters are out, hooray, hooray, the spring rosters are out, hooray! Let's totally overanalyze them and make outrageous statements! (Note: Outrageous statements are outrageous. Truly truly truly outrageous)
Early Enrollees With #s:
| No. | Name | Pos. | Ht. | Wt. | Hometown (High School) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 35 | Joe Bolden | LB | 6'3 | 230 | Cincinnati, Ohio (Colerain) |
| 49 | Kaleb Ringer | LB | 6'1 | 225 | Clayton, Ohio (Northmont) |
| 22 | Jarrod Wilson | S | 6'2 | 190 | Akron, Ohio (Akron Buchtel) |
Jarrod Wilson shares a number with Michigan's last competent free safety (until last year?). This totally means: He will be Jamar Adams except fast like Ty Law.
Dudes who changed positions (you know some of these already):
| No. | Name | Old Pos | New Pos |
|---|---|---|---|
| 55 | Jibreel Black | DE | DT |
| 93 | Chris Eddins | DE | TE |
| 94 | Jordan Paskorz | LB | TE |
| 97 | Brennen Beyer | LB | DE |
This totally means: Jibreel Black isn't Brandon Graham, or maybe he is but it's what we'd do if we had Brandon Graham today. Brennan Beyer is Craig Roh. Craig Roh Woodley!
Dudes who changed numbers:
| Name | Old # | New # | Pos | Ht. | Wt. | Elig. |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Russell Bellomy | 3 | 8 | QB | 6'3 | 189 | RS FR |
| Paul Gyarmati | 59 | 99 | LB | 6'1 | 216 | RS SR |
This totally means: Russell Bellomy is like Drew Henson PLUS ONE! Or...I dunno. Here's previous multi-year QBs to wear #8: Nick Sheridan, Jim Breaugh, and a guy who went to school with my brother.
Others guys who didn't return (class is what they would have been this year)
| No. | Name | Pos. | Class | Hgt. | Wgt. |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 60 | Alex Schwab | DT | SR 5th | 6'1 | 241 |
| 28 | Matthew Cavanaugh | S | SR 5th | 5'10 | 190 |
| 35 | Jordan Barpal | WR | SR 5th | 5'10 | 166 |
| 93 | Kris Pauloski | PK | RS JR | 6'3 | 204 |
| 32 | O'Neil Swanson | RB | RS JR | 5'10 | 162 |
| 96 | Jeremy Ross | PK | RS SO | 5'5 | 150 |
| 13 | Ben Fry | QB | SO | 5'10 | 178 |
This totally means: Gibbons YOU PUT IT THRU THE UPRIGHTS BRUNETTES!
Walk-ons you never heard of before:
| No. | Name | Pos. | Ht. | Wt. | Elig. | Hometown (High School) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 13 | Alex Swieca | QB | 6'1 | 210 | RS FR | New York, N.Y. (The Frisch School) |
| 27 | Jonathan Keizer | WR | 6'5 | 205 | RS FR | Portage, MI (Portage Northern) |
This totally means: Portage gets another shot. Hi Cat!
Baquer Sayed appears on the roster this year as well. For some reason he was on my old 2011 roster but didn't make it into the Bentley Records. Speaking of Bentley Records, WEIGHT GAIN 2012...oh. Nevermind, they haven't changed anything.
Here's Incredibly Svelt Miguel Cabrera instead.
______________ (name of player) just [LOST | GAINED] (circle one) _____ pounds! He's going to be a totaly [BEAST | STUD MUFFIN] (circle one) !!!
Add exclamations as needed. Repeat.

It's a good thing we obsess over football players' weights. If we did this with female athletes we might destroy some lives. haha
Michigan football = life
GO BLUE!!
He still has a face.
Servant. Pastor. Husband. Michigan fan in Duluth.
A couple questions:
1. Are you the quickest (ever) MGoBlogger to hit 100 points?
2. Is your Avatar a picture of yourself?
Just intrigued
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
he took catching lesson from Luis Salazar.
but sersiously, he's lucky to still have his both his eyes.
Anyone want to take a shot?
“True loyalty is that quality of service that grows under adversity and expands in defeat. Any street urchin can shout applause in victory, but it takes character to stand fast in defeat. One is noise — the other, loyalty.”
Most of the other kids stopped watching after Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Inhumanoids, not Seth though!
I did hear that the music is contagious, however.
I don't think I've ever seen "horray" spelled that way.
le doh.
Did this too quickly while writing huge Museday. This is the word I screw up all the time, and this is at least the 2nd time i've had to be called out for it.

Al Backey makes a big play a la Jacob Stewert vs Minnesota.
Ypsi High Stand Up!
5'5" and 150#???? DAMN, I am so sorry to see him go! I mean really, without sarcasm.
I think he changed his as well, might want to check it out.
Spring Roster still has him wearing #26. But not sure if he was wearing something different at practice.
I was told awhile ago he was changing his number.
He wore #26 at Saturday's practice.
"Son tell me if I'm right, but its probably better without a big ugly rectum in front of you, and there are some big ugly rectums here. Am I right?"
-Mike Barwis
He changed it .. I think to Odoms' old number.
Oh well, I could be wrong here .. sorry if I am.
It would appear that Bellomy got to #8 first.
That doesn't seem relevant, since Odoms was #9.
Horray, Jem and/or League of Legends reference!
Glamour and glitter! Fashoin and Fame!
Incredible. I'm having an incredible year.
Feel good story about Alex Swieca: http://articles.nydailynews.com/2011-11-22/news/30431027_1_football-team-high-school-football-flag-football
Dude never even played HS football!
That I had dirty thoughts about the lead signer of the Misfits?
Gyarmati was wearing #99 last year. Did you mean he changed to 59 from 99 or was this a mid-season thing last year?
I think it was a mid-season switch. My last update for last year's roster was sometime in early November I think. I try to catch every iteration to see if they're fuddling with a certain number.

It's about time the name of Alex Swieca finally gets mentioned on Mgoblog. This kid is a former wrestler, trained with the Israeli Defence Forces and received League MVP honors as quarterback of the Israel Football League championship team. I would love to see him get a few snaps in the Spring Game this year. Oh, by the way, he never played a down of high school football!
I would love to see this as the beginning of the Israeli Defence Forces pipeline.
is he is Denard's undercover body guard?
Warning: My imagination is inefficient.
I could be wrong, but I think Bellomy switched from #3 to #8 last season, too. I don't think any of these jersey numbers have been updated except for the newcomers.
Eddins and paskorzc have to change numbers to be eligible receivers (technically, but LOL)?
2013 resolution - make it onto the 2014 favorite MGoPosters post, not ironically
Numbers in the 90s are eligible, so no, Paskorz (#94) and Eddins (#93) won't have to change numbers. But they might do it anyway.
Someone told cabby that there is only one laughably unathletic looking pro athelete per team. Not counting pitchers.
Warning: My imagination is inefficient.
A few IDF alums on the squad would really put the fear of god (no pun intended) into the rest of the B10.

How can we make wild predictions without updated weight gains/losses?
If you're not living for something then you're dying for nothing.
