Can anyone with SEC/ACC/BXII experience speak to how long these will last? I'm interested in going even if Michigan isn't playing but I want to wait until fall semester starts (not into conference play though). Any shot I'll be able to get them, or no?
2011 B1G Championship Tickets
Tickets for the this years inaugural Big Ten championship game will go on sale Saturday, July 30 @ 10:00am. Seats from $50-$125 depending on location.
If it's like the sec they won't last long at all. They are bought up in a matter of minutes!
It is best to buy them as soon as possible. By purchasing the tickets directly you are guarenteed the option of purchasing a ticket again next year and I assume it will continue if you continue to purchase a ticket every year. The SEC championship game is insane, they have the same type of deal with being able to repurchase and I read somewhere that only about 200 new tickets are released each year. Not sure if the Big ten championship game will catch the same fire but if it does tickets will be extremely hard to come by. Average price of a ticket last year on Stubhub for the SEC championship game was around $450, some dude bought a suite off ebay for $22,500. Average price for the BXII was around $125 from what I read but gradually increased because of the hype of the game. My suggestion is buy them from ticketmaster, lock yourself in and buy every year. A type of game like this seems like a no brainer for reselling and then if Michigan does make it you have a ticket at face value.
buy them----->stub hub if michigan doesnt make it------->?------->profit
buy them----->stub hub if michigan doesnt make it------->?------->drink heavily
they will sell fast but I expect they will be around for a few days. It has not been fully advertised that they are going on sale. I wouldn't wait to buy them though. Especially since each person can buy 8 tickets. Although, I would be more than happy to sell you some of my seats at the start of your semester.
That would be excellent. I make enough over the summer to cover rent/ beer and a night out with the girlfriend, but I don't have any real money laying around until school starts up and I get my CoA loan/ check (which I then budget carefully for the things you actually need to buy in order to get some nice things you're not supposed to, like football tickets).
Anyway, you can put them up on the spreadsheet or I'll look for you around here and ask you when the time comes (probably right around September 1).
I wonder if the two schools that make it to the B10 Championship will be allotted a specific amount of tickets as well. I have been to the sweet 16/elite 8 and was able to purchase tickets a long time before the actual game but the schools represented had season ticket holders that were able to purchase tickets once the schools were announced. I would think this would be the same for this championship or at least I hope.
more than likely but as usual that allotment is A. Small and B. Goes fast
Anyone know if they have student tickets? Like they do for the Big Ten tournament? Even if Michigan doesn't make it, I'm still gonna try and make it out for the game.
That was supposed to be a secret.
