My take on this:

Stallions…

My take on this:

Stallions did what he did, without knowledge from the rest of the staff. He gathers intel, deciphers it and knocks on a coaches’ door and says “I figured out some signs”. Coach asks how. “Tv replay and the all-22 film”.

Why would any of the coaches think this guy was buying tickets and sending people to film games? He isn’t going to tell them that’s what he’s doing—he has a 600 page manifesto, ffs. He isn’t sharing credit with anyone or telling anyone how he really did it.

Michigan can just keep rolling teams. If their signs are stolen now, it’s on them.

His brother wrestled and got his degree from Michigan before transferring to Northwestern 2 years ago. Both qualified for NCAA’s this year, with Lucas placing.

If he goes to Ben Davis, he…

If he goes to Ben Davis, he plays in the toughest conference in the state of Indiana. All 6A (largest class) schools. He has played against David Bell, the WR from Warren Central, Cam McGrone, the LB from Lawrence Central, etc...

This article doesn’t quote…

This article doesn’t quote Courtney’s mom at all. It’s Zach Smith’s mom saying that she said it—commonly known as hearsay and inadmissible in Court. I’m shocked that Smith’s mother would actually defend him and throw blame at a Courtney. She’s filed all of these police reports and his mother never told the police that she said she would make up allegations to bring down a Meyer and Smith. This is a story of convenience.

He’s from Lawrenceburg, which

He’s from Lawrenceburg, which is down by Cincinnati. Brownsburg is west of Indianapolis.

Agreed. I saw him play this

Agreed. I saw him play this year against my kid’s team and he was average at best. You’d think a guy with that size would dominate and he did nothing of the sort. And mind you, his team plays in 3A, so he isn’t competing against Indiana’s best athletes. (Indiana has six classes, with 6A being the largest—think Cameron McGrone, Brandon Peters).

Think I read somewhere that

Think I read somewhere that Oregon State was a better fit for Anderson because he is Mormon—he wasn’t comfortable in Madison. I could be mistaken. Rumor has it that Mike Riley goes back for his third stint at OSU and Scott Frost gets the Nebraska job.

I believe Bo Jordan is married with 2 kids. Don't take a cheap shot at the guy, Buckeye or not.

Correct, but he did it with

Correct, but he did it with Boom Herron and Philly Brown (or whoever the WR was that kept getting behind the UM db's) suspended most of the season. And a true freshman about. I can't stand OSU, but he may not be as terrible as that one season.

Terrible...gear is paper thin and about a size smaller than advertised. Unfortunate.

Dominated all day???

Here is the box score...note that UM had 154 yards in kickoff/punt returns, which gave them a shorter field. Thus, the lower offensive yardage...seems fairly equal to me.

I was talking to an official

I was talking to an official at a game one day and he told me when the ball is spotted to begin a series, it is always put on the line. This is so the chains will be accurate and there is always a line to make. Thus, you have the ball downed ate the half yard line, it is spotted at the 1.

Phil Steele

Predicted that Denard would run for 75 and throw for 199. Sounds like he's drinking the ND kool aid.

It sounds like he is getting

It sounds like he is getting what some states call a "diversion". He admits guilty, but no judgment of conviction is entered, so he technically won't be a convicted felon. As long as he holds up his end of the deal (successfully completing  probation with no violations or new charges), the case gets dismissed and he has no criminal record.

A couple of things...

Why didn't fitz contact the firm at the top of mgoblog to "avoid a DUI conviction" and secondly, why should the rest of the team, those that didn't get caught drinking and driving, have to suffer because fitz screwed up? Any punishment should be solely for fitz, not the entire team. Make him speak to hs kids about drinking and driving. Make him attend Survivors Speakout, but to say he has to miss a game to be punished is ridiculous. Should he decide to go pro after this season, missing 1 game isn't going to teach him anything.

It looked like he hit the

It looked like he hit the blocker to me too. I don't think the QB got hit.

Is it just me or

do Ohio fans conveniently forget the John Cooper era which resulted in a 10-2-1 record for us? None of their fans think The Game was even played before 2000...and let's not forget that we destroyed undefeated seasons for them in 1993, 1995 and 1996...some of the most talented teams Ohio has ever had as far as NFL talent.

The Dreaded "Second Passenger"...

While trolling 11Warriors, I was reading about Dunn's arrest. It appears that there was a passenger in the car with Dunn. Don't be surprised if the passenger claims that the pipe was his, absolving Dunn of any guilt.

Was trolling ElevenWarriors

Was trolling ElevenWarriors today...the general consensus was that although Green just got back from a visit to SEC country, that OSU was clearly the leader for him...funny houw things change in a few hours.

It's not important what he

It's not important what he blew on the PBT, only what he blew at the station on the certified breathalyzer machine. Article doesn't say where the "above .08" comes from. Sometimes that makes all the difference. I know that in Indiana, the PBT isn't admissible in court.

Terrible call...

I wrestled for 13 years and have coached for the last 18, both high school and college. This call is borderline criminal. Weight is on the hands of the OSU wrestler, with the UM wrestler behind him--its clearly 2. At one point the official actually signals 2 reversal when the OSU guy goes to his back--he then waves it off and signals 1 and then he signals 2. At the very least its 2 reversal. The proper call is 1 escape, 2 takedown for UM. Its plausible to score it 2 reversal (UM), 1 escape (OSU) and 2 takedown (UM), as a previous poster stated...in any event, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE for this to be scored 1 escape. McFarland should have been thrown out for arguing--gotta have your guy's back in that situation--even if you know the official won't change the call.
