I went there once, but Michigan wasn't the opponent.  The fans were incredibly nice (unlike their basketball fans).  Their marching band announcer sounds like 5,000 obnoxious nails on a chalkboard.  So pregame should be painful.

Sounds like you're in the visitor section.  Sections 101 - 104 and 1-4 are visiting fans.

This will probably be Indiana's biggest home game in a LONG time.  Have fun.

I went in 2010, we won 42-35 and Denard ran wild.  Their fans were much, much more obnoxious than I thought they would be.  There was never a time where I feared for my safety, but it was basically as bad as you can imagine from a verbal standpoint, and it was constant.  Even walking back to my car, I had multiple people hang out the windows and scream obscenities at me.

Been there a couple times for football and basketball games.  There is a church across from the stadium that opens their parking lot for tailgating and the cost is a donation.  They have the church open for restroom use.

Only issue is getting out of Bloomington after the game.  Only one way in/out so the traffic is horrible.

I'm not even a UM fan and I find this to be a really weird post. First, why do find your team losing to be "okay"/

Second, If PSU beats OSU, you can win the division by beating OSU. And please spare me the "that ain't gonna happen" response. Why play the games then? Why even follow your team?

Always play to the last out......

They need to lose two more times. One loss is pretty much guaranteed with OSU, and they could lose to IU next weekend, but I wouldn’t bet on it. They’re at home, and the only reason they’d lose is if they just come out completely flat after losing on Saturday.

Of course, none of that matters if Michigan doesn’t win out. And the odds of that happening are nil to nil.

Hi OSUtopia. I will take this in reverse order.

First of all, as others have pointed out, you've done your math wrong. PSU would also need to lose to Rutgers or Indiana in your scenario. If it turns out we lose the division because we lost to Indiana, then I will be sad. I admit, though, that I was not accounting for that hypothetical.

I don't understand your question about "why even follow your team?" Are you suggesting one should only follow their team for as long as they can win a conference? Are you suggesting that if I presume that Penn State will beat Rutgers that I would get no enjoyment from following Michigan? I am confused.

Secondly, I fear that I am going to have trouble communicating this to you, but I assure you that I want Michigan to win. I have a strong preference that they win. I was saying IF there were ever going to be a year that Michigan loses to IU, and only one year, this is as good a year as any so it doesn't cost us something like a Big Ten title.

Yeah, except if PSU beats OSU, we'd still need them to drop one of their remaining games against either Indiana or Rutgers; and in reality we'd need them to lose both of them.  This is because a scenario where Michigan, PSU, and OSU all finish tied at 7-2 where PSU has beaten OSU, throws the East to PSU by virtue of wins over Michigan and OSU.  So PSU beating OSU only gives Michigan a chance if PSU finishes 6-3, which ain't happening.  No, it would be better if OSU beats PSU, but then we'd need OSU to lose to....Rutgers, and Michigan still may not come out on top of the tiebreaker scenario.

Thus, Michigan has virtually no chance of winning the division at this point, and it shouldn't come as a big shock because in the 5 previous seasons since the B1G split into East and West, no team has won the East with 2 losses in conference.  In the West, it's only happened once.  Two losses is the death knell for your chances to make the B1G Championship Game.

Let's see how they look against PSU this week now that Ramsey's taken over at QB. Indiana's always a tough out but they haven't beaten a single team above .500 this year and lost to 4-5 Sparty. They've also had tough fought games with Ball State (4-5) Maryland (3-7) and Nebraska (4-5), without Adrian Martinez,

If they look fiesty against Penn State, I'll be concerned. If they get rolled, I think this Indiana team might reveal itself to be same old Indiana. Pesky, but should be a W.

Yep - but each year is different and each team is different and this Indiana team, while holding a good record, has beat up on a bunch of 1 or 2 win teams for half their wins, eeked out some wins against sub .500 teams, lost to Sparty, and got shelled by OSU, and that was with Penix.  PSU will probably give us more of a sense of what this team will look like against us.

Not sure this really qualifies as a "trap game" anymore since IU is actually good (or at least better than average) this year.

If they hadn't of lost Penix they would have a decent shot of taking down psu this weekend.  I searched their game against NW and their offense dropped quite a bit with Ramsey in place.

I'm actually scared to death of this game.  Indiana games have been stressful  for about a decade now.  I was hoping the scary games against Indiana would stop with RichRod and Hoke gone but that hasn't happened.

Think of our last two trips there alone.

2015:  We had to score on a 4th & goal just to force overtime.  Won in double overtime.

2017:  We blew a 10 point fourth quarter lead in the final three minutes and had to win in overtime.

Now that Indiana is actually playing well?  And us on the road is not always a pretty sight.  I'm not looking forward to this game...at all.
