I logged in, just to respond to your message, to put things in proper perspective for you.. Let me preface this by saying that I do not boo the players... however, your comment about booing a 20 year old should "rethink their lives"... well, according to you, these 20 year old adults should get everything great that goes with being a Michigan player, for a lifetime, from other paying adults, and not even a boo now and again? Seriously think about that.... if they do not "deserve" that, then neither do they deserve being anoited, being incredibly entitled, and benefit from all the history behind them, that they simply aren't living up to. Again, I have never booed the players, heck, I haven't been back to a game since 1995....and I would not judge other fans if they were to do so.... the players should know that nothing is free in life, and they are reaping benefits like no other..... and that it truly is a privilege to don that uniform. If you want to give them the "kids" free pass all the time, then don't give them the uniform, and put some mentally stronger people in its place... maybe then we will win again. All the talk about football making the players "men"... give me a fucking break.... you and they, cannot have it both ways.
I will truly miss RR's offense, for it was like eye candy. However, watching the special teams and defense were like pulling teeth, and that I will not miss. RR really truly blew it. He had a golden opportunity and let it slide. RR thinks it was the factions to blame, etc...but that is nonsense, because those same hidden powers were there when Carr was interim coach, and the difference was that Carr made it. Had RR won, he'd have been embraced, as one from the Bo coaching tree via Don Nehlen.
And I truly believe this...that RR was distracted just enough by the WVU hate backlash and hurt by it, enough to lose perspective when it came time to decide whether or not to keep Shafer, who is a very good coach. He reacted without thinking, and terminated Shafer. This was the beginning of the end with RR.
Take into account that Coach Moeller got canned due a one-night meltdown, and that NOBODY in this crowd appreciates him... and he floored OSU and our main rivals, and didn't go 3-16 or whatever it was, like RR did.
Take into account that Carr was considered "interim" the entire season and many did not want him during that time and soon after.
Take into account that RR did little to endear himself in a very sensitive time.
Coach Moeller got the true raw deal....and he never complained, and is the EPITOME of a Michigan Man. Notice how Moeller didn't cry about getting canned... notice how he didn't try to go coach another college team. He took it like the man he is, and he truly got the raw deal. Anywhere else in the country except a small handful of places, and he'd have still been the coach.
Am not sure why nobody mentions an incoming true freshman that Mattison hand-selected, like Antonio Poole. I mean, I would figure one of these guys will surprise.
The fact is, that once Carr started slipping every year to OSU, say, in 2005, he should have been replaced in 2005, because that is approximately when recruiting started to fall...when it was obvious that OSU has the best of us at that time. Then word is Les Miles told a big recruit Eugene that Carr had the onset of Parkinsons, around then. And you can imagine how fast that would spread among the close knit elite recruit crowd. But rest easily, because Hoke and Mattison are gonna save the program, and are recruiting like its going out of style. Thank God for Hoke and Mattison. Seriously. And Brandon, too, for hiring them.
Hoke and Mattison are like a warm blanket, and are really making me feel good again about the program. I wonder how Brian is gonna pull a 180 on the "stupid hire" and spin it in the future.
now THAT were some impressive highlights.... looks like brady found his next brady. bellomy looks very very impressive...and then to see him run is quite humorous...for one doesnt expect someone that skilled as a passer to have those kind of WHEELS.
i surely hope this gets guys like brian cook to finally realize what ive been saying...that hoke is a godsend.
most of you maybe too young to remember the old style of play.
heitzman will be a LINEBACKER.... not a TE or DE
and this one is a guess, but i can see gordon going back to WR (and note the lack of wr recruiting by hoke and the plethora of db recruiting by hoke, too)
i think its only perception that fisher a longshot. heard the dude a bone tough and was a lifelong M fan. unless hoke doesnt want him, i figure we're still the favorite.
fellas... we also need to mention brandon alexander... and also i need to get pos-banged for i got neg banged to bolivia when i suggested we must go back to our roots after the penn st game.
let me be frank... if a recruit doesn't see the greatness of the program and the benefit of coming here vs a lesser program, then i dont want him, because he must be an idiot not to realize it. seriously.
Ever think Gardner goes to WR, who many scouts have said he is better suited for ? Or even Gordon, who to me was absolutely horrendous at safety? This might explain the current recruting pattern of so many DBs, too.
regroup your thoughts.... this "late" in recruiting isn't bad at all... tons of high schoolers want to play for us the michigan of old, and now there are tons of spots left. hoke and mattison are gonna clean up... expect a top 15 finish....i am.
i for one never thought the recruiting class would be bad. in fact, i think it will be GREAT... because it will be michigan players of old... they will come out of the woodwork... its gonna really pick up the few days prior to signing day, and we're gonna CLEAN UP.

Was either him or Harbaugh and he beat him. So it's somewhat rational.
It was Arizona that impressed the heck out of me. Unless we are genuinely bad....
If Gattis leaves, I would imagine that Matt Weiss becomes the OC. Don't overlook this guy and how steady the program has been since he got here.

MIchigania said this exact same thing in his diary a few weeks ago, and I recall you even posted to it. Isn't that hijacking his diary????
At least the dude was honest.

Who else... they did a major investigation with Newton, and nothing has come of it yet, has it?
Raw deal ?

I love the players Hoke and Mattison are now recruiting.... its like a warm blanket, and feels like the old ways of Michigan.
Am looking forward to the manner in which Brian pulls a 180 on his "stupid hire" stance, a few years from now, in true Orwellian memory hole fashion.

It is hard to blame Brian feeling this way, considering he is half-Black. Nothing wrong with him wanting to see more African-Americans on staff.

Does anyone know if Hoke or Mattison or Funk has visited or contacted Anthony Zettel since the hire?????????????????
BRAVO
LB MORGAN
LB
so...
LB MORGAN
LB BEYER
LB HEITZMAN
LB POOLE
LB WILLINGHAM
LB CLARK
is clark and willingham locks?????? or could clark be the fallback plan had poole or willingham not signed?
most of you maybe too young to remember the old style of play.

gordon to wr when gardner the qb.
heitzman a lb.
as you were
countess didn't recommit yet, did he???
Id rather have Rawls. I want the durable, big RB who wants to play here.
magnus (is it you, eddie?)
i think its only perception that fisher a longshot. heard the dude a bone tough and was a lifelong M fan. unless hoke doesnt want him, i figure we're still the favorite.
Im as old school as it gets.... Bo and Mo were my coaches.
We are in good hands with Hoke. He is stacking the team to be built similar to Moeller's teams.
Note the importance of landing the TE Barnett and the RB Rawls.
Note that everyone here thinks Heitzman is a small TE or DE, not even thinking that he will be a LB here. Its so obvious to the old school.
And you should be excited as pie for a player like Willingham and Heitzman at LB... figure its Woodley and Harris again.
Next year you'll see a monster class and will see a jumbo center, another TE, a QB, a WR, and more trench players.
But your concerned is unfounded. Worry not.
as i was the only one who has been saying this.... the old school folk know that heitzman is to be a LB, and not a DE or TE.
YES.
gee.....big ten championship almost every year with them....
hardly ever a big ten title without them.
go figure
i totally disagree...
i think its mcclure who is most likely because hoke has been recruiting him for TWO years.
fellas... we also need to mention brandon alexander... and also i need to get pos-banged for i got neg banged to bolivia when i suggested we must go back to our roots after the penn st game.

when is someone gonna put the dick back in your mouth?
utterly amazing how so many of you don't know squat about michigan football...
heitzman is coming to be a LB.... not a "TE or DE"
NEW TWEET BY JUSTICE HAYES.. SAYING LETS JUST SAY RECRUITS ARE PLEASED.... GOOD NEWS.
thats the new school way of looking at it....
the old school way is that heitzman is gonna be a LB here.
how guys like you get points is beyond me.... heitzman is coming as a LB... so no don, he is not undersized.
old school fans here will easily realize that heitzman is coming to play LB.
what was gittleson? (other than dissed by half the people here, three years ago)
regroup your thoughts.... this "late" in recruiting isn't bad at all... tons of high schoolers want to play for us the michigan of old, and now there are tons of spots left. hoke and mattison are gonna clean up... expect a top 15 finish....i am.
the Talmud????
i for one never thought the recruiting class would be bad. in fact, i think it will be GREAT... because it will be michigan players of old... they will come out of the woodwork... its gonna really pick up the few days prior to signing day, and we're gonna CLEAN UP.

i love it... we are returning to jumbo players, instead of little guys..
