Ahh, the Todd L. Levitt

Ahh, the Todd L. Levitt public access show.  Todd would ejaculate if he knew two people had actually watched that.  Are you an attorney?

Doesn't Levitt practice in

Doesn't Levitt practice in Mount Pleasant?  I knew Todd when he practiced in SE Michigan, but I thought he moved to the CMU area.

Clearly, you haven't gone to

Clearly, you haven't gone to law school.

Well, let's hope he can take

Well, let's hope he can take care of things academically so that Michigan admissions is comfortable with him.  I'd love to see this kid in maize and blue.

I get that Franzen, Bertuzzi,

I get that Franzen, Bertuzzi, and Cleary were out, but how could Babcock continue to allow the PP unit to dump and chase when it didn't work once all night?

No doubt that was goaltender

No doubt that was goaltender interference.  He skated right into Howard.  Un-fucking-believable.

Wings need to pick their

Wings need to pick their heads up.  One couldn't even begin to count the number of dumb passes they've made in this series.

Yes, yes.  God will cut them

Yes, yes.  God will cut them down.  He will.  He really will.  That god is always cutting down cheating hockey players.  He's so busy cutting down cheating hockey players that he has no time to do other things--like cut down tyrannical despots, cure horrific diseases, or prevent natural disasters.  His priorities might seem out of whack, but who are we to question that god guy?

And fuck San Jose.

What you've just written is

What you've just written is one the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read.  Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it.

Which is why Starbucks has

Which is why Starbucks has made billions selling energy-boosting apples, right Joseph Smith?  Errr.  Wait.  Don't be an idiot.  If people felt the same boost from apples as they did from coffee, people would be consuming Granny Smiths and Red Deliciouses in the same quantity they consumed giant mugs of Pike Place and venti mocha lattes.

Sure it does, Brigham Young.

Sure it does, Brigham Young.  Sure it does.

Goofing on Mormons = +1 in my

Goofing on Mormons = +1 in my book.  (For that matter, goofing on any religion = +1.)  I lived with a Mormon girl for a while, and she told me that the church recommends that its members eat an apple to perk them up if they're tired.  The church actually said that an apple would provide you with just as much of an energy boost as a cup of coffee.  It never ceases to amaze me what some people will believe when it's cloaked in the "authority" of religion...

It's sort of funny how these

It's sort of funny how these recruits' reactions to Hoke are similar to previous recruits' reactions to Rodriguez.  Are there coaches of major college programs that aren't personable or who don't talk about "random stuff"?  Shooting the shit just seems to be part of the job, I guess.

I second this.  Also, ask if it's true that he insisted on breaking down film with the football coaches.

Urban Meyer can coach.  He's

Urban Meyer can coach.  He's a proven commodity.  He recruits talent and he wins with that talent.  That's more than anyone can say about any coach at Michigan in well over a decade, Brady Hoke included.

And the arrests that occurred on his watch, they're Meyer's fault?  Is Meyer supposed to babysit all 85 scholarship players (not to mention walk-ons) 24 hours a day?  No, he's not supposed to and he couldn't even if he was.  The fact is, many programs have players get into trouble, and Michigan's no exception (see, e.g., Chris Richards, Carson Butler, Mario Maningham, Ryan Mallett, Justin Feagin, Kevin Grady, Boubacar Cissoko, etc.)  The real question is how those players are dealt with, and I've seen no evidence that Meyer was anything less than upstanding in his handling of players in these circumstances.

An SEC homer who says that

An SEC homer who says that "Tressel even learned to cheat as well as" SEC schools?  He's being fair here....

When is Beilein going to stop

When is Beilein going to stop playing Stu so much?  The kid can't seem to do anything right: he can't shoot, he can't play defense, and he's good for a turnover or two every game.  What gives, JB?

Intercessory prayer does not work.  It has been proven: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16569567

CONCLUSIONS: Intercessory prayer itself had no effect on complication-free recovery from CABG, but certainty of receiving intercessory prayer was associated with a higher incidence of complications.

The coach we should want the

The coach we should want the most is the one that wants to be here the most?

Well, if that's the case, I know a guy who's 45 and has been going to games since he was a toddler.  He's got season tickets and cheers like crazy at every home game.  He always says he knows better than those "stupid coaches" and rants about how they're overpaid and don't appreciate the job they have.  He says he'd give his left nut to be the coach and wouldn't demand a salary.  Now that's the coach we need, right?  Right? /s

There are ~120 teams in D1

There are ~120 teams in D1 college football.  Even if Michigan finished last in total defense under GERG (which it didn't), finishing 95th or 89th (as OK State did under Bedford) would not be a 1,000X improvement.  Vance Bedford simply would not be a big improvement over the GERG catastrophe.  He'd be a barely noticeable improvement.

to compare any current

to compare any current somewhat decent DC to GERG is crazy.

To say Vance Bedford would be 1,000X better than GERG is crazy.  Would he be better?  Probably.  But not 1,000X better.

Vance Bedford would be 1,000X

Vance Bedford would be 1,000X better than GERG?  Did you read the front page today?  At Oklahoma State, Bedford's coordinating produced the 95th and 89th best defenses in the nation.  YEEEEEHAW!!  Got me feelin' good! /s

This doesn't qualify as an

This doesn't qualify as an emo whine post.  The OP makes a reasoned argument, regardless of the crude wording.  The AD shouldn't talk about changing the way Michigan operates by finally paying top-tier money to its coaches and then turn around and hire a coach that doesn't deserve top-tier money.  That's a valid point, not an emo whine.

Except didn't he say at the

Except didn't he say at the same press conference that he thought Harbaugh was going to the NFL?

If you want to tell others to

If you want to tell others to "learn a bit about the principles of logic," you shouldn't be defending religion.  Logic embraces everything religion does not: critical thinking, reason, etc.  Religion merely asks people to believe what they're told, regardless of the lack of evidence or proof (and, for the record, a book written over a thousand years ago is neither evidence nor proof).

You want Brady Fucking Hoke

You want Brady Fucking Hoke to be the next coach, and we should all listen to you?  Give me a break.  Michigan needs a "name" coach right now, and Les Miles is that coach.  Has he done some shit we'd rather he hadn't?  Yes, but that's the game these days.  We could spend eternity screaming about un-punished  NCAA violations or under-punished NCAA violations, but at the end of the day, the teams with violations are the same ones winning championships.  There are no moral imperatives against many of the NCAA rules (though I can think of some against things Miles has allegedly done), so if the NCAA is willing to overlook O$U's two hundred violations each year, who cares if Michigan has a few?

Please try not to be so

Please try not to be so fucking stupid in the future.   Rich Rodriguez was brought in to run his system, not the three-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust shit that put fans to sleep for years and cost Michigan countless wins.  RR was not hired to gradually implement the spread offense.  ("Hmm...this year we'll allow the quarterback to run the ball three times per game....and next year we'll let him run the ball twice as many times!!!!")  RR was stuck with Steven Threet at QB, and Threet would have sucked regardless of the offense he was asked to lead.  The true common sense thing to do was to implement his system from Day 1 and get all of the players familiar with it so that they could all play their positions to the best of their abilities.

Has anyone considered the

Has anyone considered the possibility that the Michigan plane that flew to Baton Rouge was to meet Les after the bowl game to take him back to AA?  People seemed so focused on the fact that the plane flew to Baton Rouge when Les was in Texas.  Well, Les will be back in Baton Rouge very shortly....

Les Miles will be the next

Les Miles will be the next coach at Michigan.  His post-game comments do not sound like those of a man intent on staying at his current job.  Really, who says anything about the jobs kids can get coming out of a school after winning a bowl game?  Only someone wishing to soften the blow of their imminent departure, that's who.

Could you point to proof of

Could you point to proof of Hoke's recruiting prowess?

Also, Carr won with Moeller's talent, not his own.  Carr utterly failed to do anything notable with some of the best talent in the country every year after the NC.

Are you fucking crazy?  The

Are you fucking crazy?  The guy in seat 17, row 68 probably wants the job pretty badly, too.  He's a fat fucking slob that never went to Michigan and was only able to score season tickets because of the defection of the blue hairs during the RR era, but, hey, his love of Michigan might prove infectious.  Why don't we hire him?  Who gives a shit about his ability to recruit or his ability to coach?  He L-O-V-E-S Michigan!  I once saw him swear off beer for a whole year on the condition that Michigan come from behind and beat Wisconsin in the 500th game at the Big House in 2008.  And guess what?  Michigan came back and won!  I mean, is this guy perfect or what?  He could just swear off different things each game (hot dogs, internet porn, corn dogs, pay-per-view porn, etc.) and Michigan would never lose!

It's crackheads like you that

It's crackheads like you that make times like these so unbearable.

If you've been dogging RR for two years, you deserved every neg you got.  RR may not be the right coach for Michigan, but you couldn't have known that two years ago; RR was in his FIRST SEASON as head coach.  You were just another idiot afraid of change and mindlessly calling for a "Michigan Man" to take the helm.  What a dumb notion: only a "Michigan Man" can lead Michigan's football team to the promised land, and no other man will do.  RIIIIIGGGHHHT.

Important question: what role

Important question: what role do the defensive position coaches play in all of this?

You're kidding, right?

You're kidding, right?

If Michigan coaches are

If Michigan coaches are really on a guy we hear about it on this blog.  If they were drooling over AJ Jordan, somebody here would have told us.  Since no one did, I suppose it's safe to assume the coaches were willing to let him go.

Perhaps he was.  But unwisely

Perhaps he was.  But unwisely vacating gaps and over-pursuing aren't "playing hurt" mistakes--they're "playing stupid" mistakes.  (No offense to Mouton here; he's a tremendous athelete, and typically a very smart player, but there seem to be days when it doesn't click for him.)

Wise move.  He'll be much

Wise move.  He'll be much closer to the Jersey Shore when shooting for season 4 begins.

Good grief.  Can you please

Good grief.  Can you please direct me to the rule that says there can be no discussions like the one the OP was trying to engage in on the same day as a Michigan win?

Some of the posters here act like there is a specific period of time during which every single Michigan fan must "enjoy the victory."  It's not clear exactly what one must do to prove they are "enjoying the victory," but complying with the unstated whims of certain MGoBoard posters seems to be a good start.  And for how long must one "enjoy the victory"?  Well, that, too, is unclear.  But thank goodness we have MGoBoard posters and their made-up rules to keep everyone in line!!!11
