"Tell us about the candidacy, the voting..." (Loosely quoted) Denard: "It was crazy..." I'm thinking the football and basketball teams are in need of some mental health professionals. They're all going crazy. |

Networking, networking, networking. That's how the good jobs get hired nowadays. Linked In is decent, reach out to folks from school that you know, friends of friends, friends of parents, connect with folks. Some Linked In strategies: Have a professional picture on the profile, suit and a tie or something looking good. Put something in the title such as "Industrial Engineer currently looking for opportunities in the ____ field" or anything similar. Then, go to folks who know you to endorse you for any and all of the skills and expertise you have listed. Maybe even some of your professors. |

did YOU ever give him free drinks? Or did you do so and then spit in them? |

And I'm going to copy and paste a lot of the article here, because it came from a non-paywalled site, in case anyone is wondering: Two days before he’s due to be in court as a named plaintiff in the Tom Brady antitrust lawsuit, Chiefs linebacker Mike Vrabel had a much different entanglement with the justice system. The criminal justice system. Acting on a tip, we contacted the Switzerland County Jail in Vervay, Indiana. Jail Commander James LaPine tells PFT that Vrabel was arrested for theft at theBelterra Casino in Florence, Indiana earlier today. I haven't paid a lot of attention since their first losing season a few years ago. I have only so much room in my life for sports, and since the Tigers got better a number of years back, I've lost interest in the Pistons. I hate to be a bandwagon fan, but for my money NCAA basketball is much more fun to watch than the NBA. All that said, I do want them to get better and contend for a playoff spot. I'll always root for them, winning or losing, but I won't pay much attention until they're winning. If Trey got drafted by them, I would definitely watch them a lot more. Pelicans... *snicker |
| 4 days 14 hours ago | I'm torn... |
Great for his closest fans to see him more in the Detroit area, but until they get more talent on that team, I'd hate to think what this would do to the beginning of his career. I suppose being a high pick he's going to end up on a struggling team anyway...but like I said, I'm torn. |

They're in the same division as Michigan, and they're OOC schedule is: NIU, Missouri State, Iowa State and Western Michigan. ISU seems to be the only credible threat, really, and they're 4 spots ahead of us. Honestly seems like they should be 4 spots behind us... |

Sounds like the living expenses of home vs as an RA would be a wash. At home, you're living pretty much free and free housing as an RA, so go a step beyond. If you're on campus you can probably save money on gas not needing to drive all that much, maybe even park it and turn the motor over once a month to keep the battery charged. Another thing to consider is living on your own is a skill really that takes time to perfect, so I'd take this step as an RA. Even in a controlled environment like a dorm, its still something to work on. And as an RA, you'll be developing more leadership/management skills and working with others, as the above poster mentions you're the authority figure, not their buddy. Just my 13 cents... |

which would help make the Michigan undergrad more attractive, but there is a way to have the best of both worlds. A UM undergrad and then followed up with a Harvard MBA would be a wonderful mix with the MBA opening all the doors one would want. World class program. |
