This is a fucked up statement. Be sensitive to other people. As someone who works in a hospital where a patient tested positive and has elderly parents who are high risk living in Ohio who depend on me and my brother to help them for simple things like groceries and taking out the trash I’m beyond livid at this. You may feel safe but others out there at risk. And it’s stupidity like this that spreads this and put others at risk
Watching the game last night with an OSU friend. This was his take on the roughing the kicker penalty against them:”how is that roughing? The punter jumped in the air and landed on top of the D. It’s his own fault”. I had to stifle a laugh
I never watched it growing up but my wife introduced me to it after we started dating. We live in Cleveland and a couple of weeks ago saw the movie while the Cleveland Orchestra played the sound track. Amazing experience!
24 hours later I’m still bummed. I think the game plan and execution of disappointing game plan was still poor.
That being said, 10-2 is still very good. If you had asked me before the season I would have said I’d take it. It’s only how yesterday went that crushes our souls. Harbaugh is better than anyone else we can get. I’m ok with one more year to best Urbz and his headaches.
I’m getting hitched next weekend. Fingers crossed for nice weather. My fiancé is a great girl. Understands when to leave me alone if M is playing. Loves going to football games and maize and blue deli with me too. Super excited!
We’ve had PS Vue for a year. Very happy with it. Reasonable price. When watching live, it’s slower than cable. Occasional freeze but it’s minimal impact. I recommend it to everyone.
That was my go to Sunday meal! General Tso, egg roll and egg drop soup. Plus a 20 Oz Pepsi and a snickers bar from Blue Front. And yes my sophomore year I went up 20 lbs.
I remember this. Had a bio lab at the chem building at 7 pm so impossible to not go. As left my place on Hill St the radio DJ announced it was a wind chill of -35 deg and they were advising people to stay indoors because skin can freeze in something like 3 min. Our house was so drafty and old I slept in sweat pants, sweat shirt, gloves and a knitted hat that night.
Just finished watching It’s a Wonderful Life with the fiancé. Darn that’s a good movie.
Sipping a couple of 12 Dogs Christmas Ale from Thirsty Dog Brewing (Cleveland).
Elf is beginning to take over as the favorite movie though.
It’s “fans” like you who can’t see the forrest through the trees. Go on being butt hurt for 300 days and when UM is 10+ wins we’ll see you back on the wagon.
Excited to see college game day at JMU! Used call that place home and happy to see the Dukes on top of I-AA. Bounce back game for the maize and blue today! Fired up! Go Blue!!
The stats were not that bad yesterday other than 3rd down conversion and red zone (I know big ones). Isaac stays 4 inches to his left and they convert inside the red zone two times it's a blow out.
I believe this gets corrected. Young players the coaching staff are still figuring out how they will respond in game time. Speight.....he is what he is. I don't think there is confidence in O'Korn. They shut the offense down when he is in. Speight's trying to not screw up and also trying to make the big play. The check downs were there yesterday if AF didn't bring pressure. Problem is with a not so great line they brought a lot of pressure and this forced the RBs and TEs to stay in. I'd look for more screens, maybe a draw.
I'm ok with yesterday. Tough team who milks the clock. Trust in Harbaugh.
I have done this twice this summer for cookouts with friends. Similar recipe but using pork shoulder that I cubed. It was a huge hit! Now it's everyone's request. I love these recipes! Great addition to the blog
I'll join in and say I did my first brisket yesterday. Came out of the smoker about 1 pm and sliced at about 6 pm. It was fall apart tender. Also did pork burnt ends for the first time. That was a big hit for guests too.
We currently have 2 lab/boxer mixes who are turning out to be great dogs, with a little training.
Before I had an unknown mix my ex picked up. I was 100% against owning this dog as we already had two. When I got home, this little 8 week old pup broke me. He followed me everywhere I went. Walked side by side without a leash. Melted my heart in a second. He lived with me for 12 years. Cost me a fortune as he had a seizure disorder and ate everything in sight. Ended up with 5 belly surgeries to remove a chew toy, towels, shirts, boxers and so on. Oh and the eating 15 lbs of dog food once. But when he crawled his 90 lb ass up on my lap I couldn't take it. Loved that dog with all I had. Balled like a baby the day he passed and not a day goes by I don't hope my current puppies grow up to be a loving, sweet dog like Jimmy was.
The Mitch Rapp books are my favorite. Losing Vince Flynn was tragic. The guy had talent as an author in that genre. Looking forward to the movie later this year. If you like Rapp, Brad Thor is another good author. As is Marc Cameron and the Pike Logan series (can't think of that author's name).
I worked the W lax coach years and years ago. I was unaware she was hired at UM until a year or two ago. I was horrified! Worst coach I've ever worked with. While not celebrating someone being unemployed, I'm happy she will no longer be there. Hopefully they will hire someone motivated and hard working to build the program.
Speculation obviously but if someone dislocates their knee they injure everything. I mean ACL, PCL, LCL and the lateral sided muscles/tendons. The biggest risk with this is associated to rupture of the popliteal artery and peroneal nerve. Think Teddy Bridgewater where the athletic trainers actually reduced his dislocation on the field. These can spontaneously reduce as well. I am a former ATC and worked division one football. We had a player fracture his tibial plateau which poked a hole in the artery. Luckily we recognized decreased perfusion to the leg and got to the hospital right away.

Please do not email these guys at their work or personal emails. Talk about making the fan base look like a bunch of sniveling babies. We are Michigan. We are better than that.

Phil Ivey (poker player) walking into Bellagio. My brother turned and yelled "hey Phil Ivey....I could read you like a book!!". Good thing we were leaving.
I don't get all the misgivings re: this hire. I work in medicine and the first doctor I trained under was in his late 60s and behind on some of the newer things. Does this mean I do everything like him now? No. I develop my own techniques and knowledge based on the multitude of others I have worked with and trained under. I'm sure Coach Tolbert did the same. I'd trust Coach Harbaugh to know what's best for the program.
I worked several years with D-1 programs and the coaches who I saw get the most from their players were the ones who connected with them. You could see it at Friday nights dinners and pre game meals and meetings. Those kids just had a look in their eyes like they would run through a wall for that coach.
Special teams screwed them. A kickoff return to the 5? A 10 yard punt? And what happened to the aggressive blitz schemes that had Romo on his before he could he even complete his drops?

Disagree. #8 is about right. Not top 6 but not below 12. 10 wins is nothing to sneeze at. Overreactions aplentiful today.

I'm sure Bolden is great guy and will be successful in life. He just can't tackle well
