I will have to see if there is any local chatter to what happened here. I don't think playing time would be the issue. Maybe Bryce has him thinking of going down to LSU now.
Well Lloyd Carr was an assistant coach for Belleville in the early 70's. And Ian Gold (Belleville Graduate) was a solid player for Michigan. So that was something good.
Perfect timing for this to drop. Why could this have not been during the peak of the season with the most important games of the season upcoming? Oh, it's an SEC team? Nothing to see here.
Outstanding! Just goes to show that Ben loves this team and organization and coach Campbell. Tough schedule in 2024, just hope the draft goes great again and the Lions continue to make great moves to acquire other players needed.

I really thought that game would have been competitive after watching video of Northville. Belleville's defense might be the best it's been on this run they have been on.
Belleville Alumni here. Class of 97'. Would love to see them play Rockford! Belleville's league has no competition and I think they will stroll through to the finals again. Good luck!
I played for Belleville class of 97'. We were decent, but the class of 96' was great. Former UM linebacker Ian Gold was a running back and linebacker. Used to have to practice with him daily. Guy was a beast. Also, played with former NFL'er Chris Jenkins who went to Belleville as well as his younger brother Cullen.
Belleville over the last few years has been great. They just can't get over the hump and get to the State Championship game. It's been fun attending games and going back to my school to see them doing well. They are considered to be the "Cass Tech of the West" minus any state titles. (Former CT coach is coach at Belleville)
Belleville should be good to have another title run hopefully if football resumes someday.
My first road game was to Indiana in 2004. Tight game until the second half. Michigan dropped 21 on them in the 3rd quarter and won 35-14. Braylon had a great game.
We stayed at some hotel close by and pre-gamed in the parking lot with some other Michigan fans. Wish we could have hit a few local spots.
The fans were pretty laid back in the stadium but what I remember is walking out and we passed a house that had a Indiana porch party going on and some IU fan screams out, "Hey, we will still kick your ass in soccer!" While that comment maybe true, my buddies and I just laughed at them as we went by.
Another Michigan themed brew is, Hail. An American Pale Ale by North Peak Brewing. It's a solid brew.
I do like the Haze & Blue. Nice blueberry finish and not super hoppy. And I do like quite a few brews by Big Lake Brewing. They've really been putting out some good ones.
How bout those Belleville Tigers!? I played ball there from 94-97. Really cool seeing the football team in the mix the last few years and going to the games has been really fun. Hoping they can finish the job this year after losing to Chippewa Valley last year.
Being a Michigan fan though, it irks me a little that many of their good players the last few seasons have went on to MSU. I wish them well, except when they play Michigan.
Great avatar. Sword is one of my favorite players of all time at Michigan. I played High school football at Belleville High School with Ian Gold. He was a great teamate and player. It was fun watching him play for Michigan and in the Pros.
Just have to say last night and the way this season has started has taken a tiny bit of the sting out of the 1st degree burn left over from the massacre last weekend. Thanks to the Hoop squad for somewhat healing that wound. Going to be a fun season! This team can run with any one in the country. Calender is circled for Jan. 29th! Payback time bitches!!!
I hate everything Sparty, but what kills me these days is the relentless replay of the fumbled snap!!! Still hurts talking about it! Damn, I hope we truck these turds Saturday!
