Shit Talking Buckeyes this Week

Not sure how many of you live in Ohio like me, or have buckeye fans around you this week. I for one will be going out with about seven buckeye grads tonight to the bars and am thinking about my rivalry shit talk/ what angles I will use.
My question for MGoBloggers - How do you talk to Buckeye fans about the game this year? Do you play it coy - "you guys should beat us with the amount of talent you have" so as to not give them the satisfaction of potentially winning AND knowing that you thought Michigan could win? Or do you stay confident and say we expect Michigan to win the game?

Our team is playing it's best football and we should give them a good game on Saturday although OSU is the heavy favorite for a reason.
Something like that is what I go with for the Buckeyes around here. My mindset right now is that we could win if everything goes our way, but I'm not counting on it.

All the Buckeye fans I will see this week wear green and white. They were huge Indiana fans last week. I will just smile knowingly at their little brother mentality and ignore them.

I can relate OP. I always play it coy. We have no legs to stand on with the current state of the rivalry. Talk OSU up, "you guys should beat us, with all that talent, etc etc". They want you to be the "arrogant Michigan fan that looks down on OSU". Be a sarcastic prick, and compliment their team, and then if/when we beat them, just smile and give the Michael Jordan shoulder shrug!

Yeah I think this is best. As we have no legs to stand on, it feels weird being confident and assuming victory. "I mean you guys should beat us with that talent, but we'll see what happens" might be my go-to take. Its too painful to compliment them further.

I've found that if I act like a normal person and don't engage in pointless trash talk about a sporting event that is out of my control, others do not talk trash to me, either.

I would just say “it should be a good game”. Otherwise they’ll just try to gang up and shit on you if you show any sort of confidence in your team. Not worth the hassle and annoyance to show any confidence to them. I do the same thing with state fans I interact with, unless they try shit talking.

If you can't go full slappy this week, what's the point? Talk about peaking at the right time, possible injuries to Fields, the fact that they have 0 depth at QB (11w about imploded in a thread talking about their backup. had to put away the knives), that this year is eerily similar to 1969, that this rivalry is known for its high-profile upsets, Tim Biakabatuka, crap weather, a home game in AA, etc. Point out Urban's smarminess, ask if they like their ball-lifters, go all in. Give as good as you get, buy a round, and enjoy the week for what it is.
