Any transfer player ever as good as Jake Rudock?

Are you sure you were at the game? That player was Seth Smith and Shaw was not even a member of the 1994 team. He didn't arrive at UM until 1996.

After Jake Rudock pitched the Utah debacle many people thought we were heading into a dismal season. Coach Harbaugh remained calm, confident and steady. Then after MSU, "Steel in our spine" and all that. Once again, calm and confident.
As many have said, I wish Devin Gardner had the opportunity to experience that kind of solid support.
Anyway, Jake Rudock made the most of the great coaching he received. Not to take anything away from Elroy Hirsch, he may have had the most productive single year of football as a transfer in Michigan history.

Russell Wilson, Baker Mayfield, Cam Newton, Joe Flacco, Randy Moss, Troy Aikman...there have been tons that had better numbers than Rudock.

Would be Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch, who played football at Wisconsin in '42 and then two seasons with Michigan, transferring under the Marine Corps V-12 training program. Hirsch was the only modern athlete at Michigan to letter in four sports in a single season (Football, basketball, track and baseball) One day in the spring of '44, he took third place in the Big 10 track meet at Illinois in the long jump, then drove 150 miles to Bloomington to pitch in the second game of a double header at Indiana. (Not quite as impressive as Jesse Owens' 4 world records in 45 minutes at Ferry Field, but hey - Jesse didn't have to drive 150 miles between events.)
A member of both the Wisconsin and Michigan Athletic Halls of Fame, as well as the Pro Football and College Football Halls of Fame.
