As the fellas on PMT would say, stay woke on this one. For a young man potentially trying to break into the media, the attention he's getting from this only helps him.

Thank you, Taco. Thank you.

Not sure if it has been

Not sure if it has been mentioned elsewhere, but there are new NCAA qualifying standards going forward with the class of 2016 in terms of immediate freshman eligibility. Rather than the 2.0 qualifying GPA with a matching ACT score on the sliding scale, this year's class must meet the standards of a 2.3 GPA and matching ACT score. Freshmen can still qualify through the eligibility center and receive a scholarship for GPAs between 2.0 and 2.29, but they would be required to take an academic redshirt. Hopefully it doesn't affect any Michigan signees, but it may explain unexpected redshirts for guys we expect to play as true freshmen.

Disagree strongly. Boxers beating ground fighters usually does not happen. That's why wrestlers have pretty much caught up to Brazilian Jiu jitsu.

At first, I thought there was no way Henne has been in the NFL for 10 years. Then I realized I was right; his last fall in AA was 2007. I still can't believe how long it really has been though.

Ouch, that's pretty harsh, but is certainly the most egregious error of Kelly's tenure.

Not sure if this is the right

Not sure if this is the right time to play the classy card, considering this thread alone has two posters in agreement about their interest in punching Jake Peavy in the mouth, another hoping Pierzynski takes a foul ball to the neck, and the ever-classy "ChiSux" moniker.  How is this any better/more acceptable than those posters who wish injuries upon opposing players  and refer to Ohio as O$U, the Suckeyes, etc.  Those posts get negged to death regularly, why should this be different?  Just saying....

It was the state championship

It was the state championship game, too.

Living in Chicago and being a

Living in Chicago and being a Blackhawks fan, I believe this worked out as well as it could have.  I know many Wings fans would have loved to move out east and see more of Toronto and Montreal, but the Hawks-Wings rivalry means too much to scrape, especially with the renewed hockey interest in Chicago.  Losing that rivalry would admittedly be harder on the Blackhawks fans, but I still think there's enough interest on both sides to keep it going strong.

I agree that Monken and

I agree that Monken and Chavis definitely have a better shot to win given the success their teams have earned, but I don't think anyone can aruge how much Mattison has brought to the table.  Turning last year's disaster of a defense into a very good unit (not just in comparison, but objectively) is nothing short of miraculous.  Hell, J.T. Floyd was a whipping boy a year ago, and now he has a fan club. 100% pure Columbian awesome.

Totally agree.  The most

Totally agree.  The most impressive characteristics of this young man don't show up within the white lines (though he played an outstanding game against the Illini), but have shown in his actions, leadership, and pride for the university.  He is a Michigan man to the bone, and I love rooting for him each and every Saturday.

I agree.  He played very well

I agree.  He played very well in 2009, especially in the night game at Kinnick that season.  Over the 2nd half of the season, he outplayed Donovan Warren, IMHO.  Unfortunately, he doesn't appear to be the same player he was 2 seasons ago.
