Peppers at 10, which seems low.
This is a dumb thread and should be deleted.
.. how is this dumb and should be deleted. It is just something to blog about, something we are all excited about; the incoming class.
On offense, I am most excited for the collection of O-Linemen we have, and adding one more would be awesome. But if we add Brionte and Jordan Payton, than that collection would probably become my favorite.
On defense is is Royce Jenkins-Stone, I think he is gna have a great start of a college career along an already developing stud in Jake Ryan. But if we pick up Yuri Wright, he would be my instant favorite. I think he is going ot be a stud.
Sleeper pick: Pharoh Brown, argueably the most athletic recruit we have committed. Whereever he ends up at , rush lb, de, te, or wr(would be awesome) i think he is going to be a known name to say the least.
This is a bit tougher to answer now that I've looked at Purdue's commit list and none of them are four stars...
New coach, new tradition. So I'll say Dunn after Hoke shows off his wizard hat and snake oil.
Right now, I don't see Dunn turning...I know he is taking an official, but unless something drastic happens at tOSU, I just don't see it happening
Agreed, with OSU's success of late and no major sanction announced. Dunn is pretty much a lock for Ohio.
offense: Kalis for obvious reasons
defense: MARIO OJEMUDIA FERGODSAKES. putting up huge stats on a very good team. not far behind would be tom strobel, terry richardson, and joe bolden
James Ross. If he was 6'3" instead of 5'1", he would probably be a five-star. His instincts are excellent, and instincts are what we currently lack from the linebacker position. I expect him to start as a freshmen.
I love recruiting WILL ninjas...
Some say that's optimistic. Scouting reports have estimated 4'11"
Kyle Kalis. Defense, James Ross.
All of them no matter how they pan out, they will all be part of the team.
Royce Jenkins-Stone and Jarrod Wilson.
+1 Jarrod Wilson. Highly rated ball-hawking safety with a chance to play early.
I'd say Pipkins too.
Kind of hard to choose. I've always been a huge fan of Ringer but Ill go with Ojemudia, WDE has not been a position of strength this season and I think he can make an impact from day 1.
I love this...
It's funny...it seems that no one really knows what is going on with Mitch, but everyone seems to suspect UM is in the lead
I see someone thinks mentioning Mitch McGary in a thread about 2012 recruits is trolling...esp when the thread didn't specify a sport
shane morris! we need a qb who can throw!
I think the three that may play right away are Kalis, RJS, and Pipkins.
They could fill areas of need and that fires me up!
I think RJS is probably the least likely of the LB's to make an early impact. See: every Cass Tech player UM has recruited in the past few years (except Thomas Gordon).
Standifer. I really think he's going to outperform his star ratings.
I feel the same way about Gant. I don't think he'll have an early impact, but I think he'll develop into a defensive leader and solid contributor his Jr and Sr year.
Brionte Dunn :)
Anyone who is fired up to wear the Maize and Blue.
Pipkins, Wilson and Terry. Pressure= picks with those 2 back there :)
Joe Bolden is going to be good. I feel good about Godin, Pharaoh Brown, and Strobel, too.
Of (the awesome) parts.
could I pick just one, but I ma most excited about the defensive side I see 6 or so 3 year starters with the linebackers really impressing me. I cant wait till 4 or 5 years from now to see how well this class turns out.
Zach Banner and Yuri Wright.
Oh, of kids already committed? Pipkins and Magnuson.
The 5 recruits who have not committed yet
Everyone on our soon-to-be megalithic O-line. Welcome additions all.
The defensive megaliths are also welcome too.
is my fav. Oh wait, did he commit yet?
If you know something we don't, spill it now!
Kalis for the story and his play of course, but Pipkins is another monster who can do some damage and just bleeds Mazie And Blue!!
I would love to get Dunn, but just cannot see it happening,
In football it would have to be Jarrod Wilson...it would be so nice to have a true ball hawking safety back there...good sized too!
I would say Richardson, can he start right away and play a good as Blake " count dracula" #18
Pipkins and Magnuson.
Ojemudia and Pipkins look exciting. But over the long haul I think Bolden.
On O, Kalis absolutely.
As someone else said, it might be better to just say the collective O-line. Two years from now I am looking forward to Lewan, Kalis and Magnusen opening up an IHOP come Big Ten season
I'm most excited about the few recruits that haven't commited yet.
I'll go with the guy that I was most anxious to commit to Michigan.
I really want our secondary to be mean, nasty, but most of all, to have some ballhawks. The Michigan defense I grew up watching had Chuck Woodson and Marcus Ray. Later, it had Leon Hall and Marlin Jackson. These guys were great players and they made big plays.
Wilson seems to have that intelligence and the eye for the ball that a leader on this team needs. I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of impact he has on the team over his four years. I think he'll be a special player.
If we get a wide receiver, he'd probably be up there too. I love all our current recruits. I just am most excited about Wilson.
Kalis, Pipkins, Wilson
Magnuson, Pipkins, and Stone. Magnuson over Kalis just because not much has been said about him. If we can find a way to land Banner and Garnett, Best Offensive Line ever to step on the campus of the University of Michigan.
& Wright(if he were to go blue) He starts DAY 1. The kid is simply to good to rs.
Jeremy Clark. Kid wanted to go to Michigan so bad that he was willing to take a grayshirt in spite of other options. Now he's having a monster senior season and has been rewarded for his hard work. Five defensive and special teams touchdowns? Yes please! Kid's a player.
Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. Jeremy Clark reminds me of Jordan Kovacs in terms of heart. And all of the prefered walk-on guys should get a mention here too. Bo Dever is the only one who's name I know.
Anybody who will likely turn into an NFL talent on defense...and bring back memories of the late-90s and early 2000s (and even 2006...well, the first 11 games at least).
Joe Bolden. I think he will be starting at some point next year.
Jacob Trouba could end up being one of the best defensemen to ever play here, so he gets my vote.
Specifically, Kalis and Magnusson. Adding a Banner or Garnet would be even more awesomeness.
MSU, ND games this year, the game that must not be mentioned (Wisconsin 2010), tOSU last year showed how we need bigger, stronger Oline to deal with the Worthys, Simons of the B1G.
While it will take a couple of years, getting the future NFL-bound road-graders will get us back to 'elite' level sooner rather than later.
Wiscy's recent consistency (barring the last two weeks' heartbreaks) can be attributed to the talent they have amassed on the O-line. Michigan needs to get back to that level.
I'm most excited about Pipkins since I think we need him the most in the short term. He could come in right away and start or get significant playing time.
