1. BiG (Basking in Glory):
when the WMU horses took the opening kickoff and scored on a long touchdown drive, THE KNOWLEDGE started receiving notes that cast aspersions on the THE KNOWLEDGE's post on these very pages saying that Michigan will restrict WMU to less than 17 points

Well, THE KNOWLEDGE was obviously right, and the doubters wrong as usual

THE KNOWLEDGE has been basking in glory again as all of the review came to fruition (Michigan's score actually should be 37 points, as the referees incorrectly stopped the game before the field goal on that last drive)

2. THE CHALLENGE
this week marks the debut of night game at Michigan Stadium. An even more exciting debut for the readers of this blog is the debut of THE KNOWLEDGE CHALLENGE for this year

Denard with 2 rushing touchdowns, the first a 21 yard scamper on a designed run to the right early in the second quarter. His second comes following a 36 yard screen pass to Jeremy Gallon. Shoelace scores on a 13 yard scramble to the right with 6 minutes left to prove to be the game winner. Denard finishes with 115 yards running, with a long of 60 yards, and 299 yards passing on 23 of 36, with a long of 52 yards, with 1 passing touchdown (15 yards) to Kevin Koger. He does not throw an interception.
Shaw leads the team in rushing, with 120 yards rushing on 20 carries. He scores 1 touchdown on a 30 yard run up the middle 6 plays into Michigan's opening drive.
Roy Roundtree has a solid game, leading all receivers by hauling in 8 passes, for a total of 97 yards. He has one (1!) drop.
Kevin Koger plays well, grabbing 6 passes for 50 yards.
Junior leads everyone with 99 yards, on 4 catches.
Jeremy Gallon has a great game, with the aforementioned 36 yard screen pass, as well as HOLDING ONTO THE BALL every punt return, and getting very good returns (long of 36, average of 20).
Kelvin Grady has 2 catches for 10 yards.
Vincent Smith catches one ball for 3 yards.
Fitzgerald Toussaint makes one catch for 4 yards.
The defense stands tough throughout, allowing only 253 total yards of offense to the Fighting Irish, with 161 of those through the air. Rees throws 2 picks, 1 snagged by Troy Woolfolk on a Michael Floyd post route, and the other grabbed by Ryan Van Bergen, off a pass tipped by Jake Ryan.
Mike Martin records 1 sack, and 2 TFLs, and puts up 4 total tackles.
Will Campbell gives Michigan their only other sack of the night, and it's a big one: 4 minutes left, Notre Dame driving, and he makes a big play on third and 7, forcing a fourth and 15.
Ryan Van Bergen makes 5 tackles, including 2 for loss, and forces a fumble that is recovered by Notre Dame.
Kenny Demens leads all tacklers with 9, with Jordan Kovacs and Brandon Herron following him with 8.
Wile improves his punting, booting one 57 yards late in the first quarter, and improves his kickoffs. Additionally, kickoff coverage is better, with Notre Dame's average starting position at the 21.
Michigan will win the coin toss, and will defer.
There will be a Michigan Stadium (and NCAA) record 115,327 people in attendance.
