Zach Carpenter enters transfer portal

Pretty odd to see a RS freshman center who just started enter the portal...

Michigan's first transfer is a pretty big one. Carpenter was in line to start next year. Here's what Ed Warinner said about his performance at Rutgers, when he played for an injured Andrew Vastardis. https://t.co/Rp69bYAooG pic.twitter.com/dKQnS5dhZX

What the hell are your coaches telling them in recruiting that they don't see once they get on campus???

You guys have been morphed by the transfer portal the last couple years.

edit: don't know why the down votes; we honestly need you to perform better than you have the last few years.  need the fire breathing jimmy back...

For those who arrive on campus early, will there be enough toilets?

Ohio State hopes so and says it has learned its lesson from big matchups such as the Texas game in 2005, in which cleanup crews found several soiled shorts and a few coolers filled with poop.

He was the primary backup at center and was likely starting next season. Not sure why playing time would be a factor here.

Even if you’re upset at not starting THIS year, eligibility doesn’t count. You’d enter next year still as a redshirt freshman and the presumptive starter going into the year. Bailing because of playing time doesn’t make much sense.

I would say this is a recruiting fail. He’s a quitter and is bailing on his teammates before the last game. If that’s in his core, then the coaches really missed on this kid no matter how talented he might have been. Never quit on your teammates in the middle of a season! At the end of the year, make whatever choice you want, but don’t quit with games to play.
