Your “Devotee” in absentia update
Quick non football update from non WD. Women’s field hockey is taking on Ohio State at 1pm at Ocker Field. Its FREE! It’s HOT! There is no SHADE! You may recall that last year’s schedule ended with the young women one penalty corner or one save away from being National Champions. ( boo UNC and the refs… rabble, rabble).
Then at 7 pm the women’s soccer team is taking on Bowling Green. This is their first home regular season game after besting Butler earlier in the week 5-0 in Indianapolis. It’s “Pups at the Pitch” match so bring Fluffy on down to slobber pant in the bleachers. (This is not free, there is shade, and you might have to register your pup - check Mgoblue/soccer).

I think he ended up being one of the many dead bodies left behind the "Ace Bus". He was a goofball. He was annoying. He was irrational. But none of that deserved him getting banned. That is, unless there is some crazy outburst he had that I am not aware of.

More than one outburst actually, and he was gone long before any controversy arose regarding either the GoFundMe or the XM banning, which are the two items I believe you're discussing in this case. Suffice to say that it is possible that one's "devotion" to something makes them a virtually non-functional human being when it comes to other types of interactions. I will put it like this.

I don’t want to call you a liar, and I missed most of the bans behind the Ace Bus as I wasn’t visiting the page/board very often (still don’t tbh), but the GoFundMe stuff happened at least 1-2 years before all the COVID stuff starting really dividing the board down political/scientific information (or misinformation, as both sides had their say) lines. To couch WD’s banning as part of the GoFundMe fiasco seems to be disingenuous at best, a downright falsehood at worst.
If I’m wrong because I wasn’t here for another outcry over the GoFundMe, so be it but I certainly remember the first time being years ago, not months.

That's what I was saying (apparently with insufficient clarity), that the WD stuff went down long before any of that, so I was attempting to disassociate it from any of the Ace-centric dramas. I did this in the event anyone might be confused by Lakeyale's comment actually. WD has been off the board for a couple years now. His end was a completely separate event.

Please let it be known, I don’t know who banned him. I assumed it was Ace, but could be totally wrong. Furthermore, as I have mentioned before, he could have said some outrageous stuff to deserve being banned.
I just never saw anything other than him being annoying and teasing / picking on people in the same manner that others did on him but in much greater volume towards him than what he ever did to others.

There was a comment that put him over ever the edge. Yeah I get it he offered a lot of updates on the Olympic sports. HOWEVA, it isn’t that hard to keep up on those sports now with all the various social media platforms. In the end he was a bully and deserved to be banned.
