You're allowed one win - which helps our program more? Wisc or OSU?
So the genie gives you one to choose from...
A home Wisconsin win, in front of the Michigan Faithful, with some recruits, on Senior Day
-or-
A road win over chief rival OSU and Pryor to end their streak against us
As much as I'd like it to be OSU, I almost feel Wisky is the more important. I think our fanbase really needs the win in our own stadium, to help further turn around some of the doubters. I think OSU is still the perceived "better" team in the conference, and the "heat" for losing to them would less considerable.

I'm guaranteed one? I'm taking the one over Ohio State to prove we can beat them and thus actually win national titles.

Boy this is really a tough question

I say Wisconsin? (which I won't, because, I mean, really...it's OSU!)
November 17th, 2010 at 9:24 PM ^
Tim will get to it when he gets to it. Probably deservedly.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:23 PM ^
Ohio State... end that streak. NO QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: Perhaps a more fair question is Ohio State and Lose Bowl Game OR Wisconsin and win Bowl Game
November 17th, 2010 at 9:22 PM ^
OSU
But let's just beat them both so it's all speculation. GO BLUE!
November 17th, 2010 at 9:22 PM ^
I'm assuming you are but why would you ask if I might actually choose a Wisconsin win over an OSU win. There is no question. I would rather beat the Buckeyes than the Taliban.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:31 PM ^
Just feel like the home win carries a lot of weight...
November 17th, 2010 at 9:34 PM ^
I don't care if we beat Ohio State on the Moon of Vega and it takes lightyears for us to find out the final score on Earth. If we beat Ohio State, it's more important to me than beating Wisconsin.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:22 PM ^
Ohio State, becauase it would prove we can beat a tough team on the road. And THEY ARE OHIO STATE!!!!!! This shouldn't even need to be asked
November 17th, 2010 at 9:22 PM ^
I'll always take this

November 17th, 2010 at 9:23 PM ^
You think another loss to OSU would sting less than losing to Wisconsin?
November 17th, 2010 at 9:23 PM ^
uh, OSU. duh...
November 17th, 2010 at 9:23 PM ^
No offense, but come on, man. A win at home against Wiscy would be great, but I'd bet 99 out of 100 UM fans would take the (way too) long awaited win against our biggest rival.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:24 PM ^
Really? Really?
I would choose to close out the season, away, in the hostilest territory w/ a W everytime.
We've got a miserable streak going and look like underdogs again. This isn't even a real choice. Go to Columbus, break their spirits, and sing "The Victors" the whole busride home.

both. No comprimise. No letting up.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:27 PM ^
Are a gem. I hope to hear more from you even after HARD EDGE time is over (which, hell, maybe it never will be....).
November 17th, 2010 at 9:33 PM ^
hopefully it won't end. If the unthinkable happens this weekend, well I don't know. Something. But they won't lose. They are hard edge.
I was thinking of posting something on the board before the game to up the level of positive hard edginess, but it would probably be deleted faster than Bielema drinking a large Farva.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:26 PM ^
Ohio State Community College no question. A loss to Wisky sucks, but time will ease the pain. After losing to Ohio State the past 6 years, I want nothing more than to beat sweater vest and TP in the shoe.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:27 PM ^
I would take the win over Wisconsin because a) its at home and ill be there b) its an official visit weekend c) if im not mistaken, beating OSU would send Michigan State to the Rose Bowl and as much as I hate Ohio State, I would actually rather see them play in the Rose Bowl instead of little brother.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:28 PM ^
If we beat OSU, no one will remember or care what happened against Wisconsin.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:29 PM ^
OSU... No hesitation at all.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:30 PM ^
I'm sorry but this is a stupid thread. OSU to answer your question.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:30 PM ^
I moved next door to a Buckeye in Dec. 2003. We havent beaten OSU since. Thank god the rest of the street is full of M fans.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:32 PM ^
what sort of fucking blasphemy is this?
November 17th, 2010 at 9:34 PM ^
This should not even be up for discussion. The OP might be the alone on this one.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:35 PM ^
Is there any doubt what the answer is? Beating the Fu@#$%^& on their own turf to get back to 8 W's...Can you say "We're back!".
Great post. The board is very positive this week. Good signs all around us! Let's not overlook the opportunity this weekend.
Hail!
November 17th, 2010 at 9:35 PM ^
Wisconsin, but only because it's opposite day.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:36 PM ^
OSU, there is no question.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:36 PM ^
So if we can only win 90 out of our next 100 games and 4 of the losses have to be non-conference and 3 of the losses in bowl games, who do you think we should lose to, in order to give the most prestige to the football program and would this be reason enough to fire RR and would this make Brandon the greatest AD ever?
November 17th, 2010 at 9:37 PM ^
Because this comment is so awesome, I'm just going to lock this thread instead of deleting it.
